IF Microsoft cuts the 360's price. When is it more likely to happen?

Will it more likely happen on the release of HALO 3?

Or will it more likely happen during Christmas?

I think rateher than a price drop when halo 3 comes out we will see the halo 3 package consiting of a 360 and a copy of halo for free, I dont belive there will be a price drop for some time though, not after the red light 3 year warentee inceident.ihateyou_right

mabye, but it will probly be a few months after the release with the cutsomized halo xbox 360.

My friend went to my local EB and one of the guys that worked there said the price was gonna drop 100$ in september, it may just be a rumour though.Hypochondria9

For what reason?

The new 65 nm chip should start shipping this fall, reducing the manufacturing cost a lot. Its codenamed Falcon and can be googled. My predictions:

1-They will keep the same casing to save money even though they predict the weight to drop by 50%. They may put the power supply in the casing though.

2-They will ditch the core system, drop the price of the Premium by 50$ only but add HDMI and a bigger harddrive. If the PS3 could do a little better price cuts would be greater.

3-Since the system was originaly released in November, my guess is the cut will come in that same month.
