I'm about to buy the Xbox 360 and was trying to decide between Gears of War and Crackdown. I know that they're two totally different games, but just wanted your opinion. I've read their respective reviews, but would like some people's thoughts. Also, about online, gonna do it sometime, but in a month or two, so for now, what do you think is more fun for single-player? Thanks for your thoughts.
Thanks for all your answers, I had played Gears of War at a friends house awhile and did enjoy it quite a bit. It sounds like a clear choice. Are the different difficultly levels fun in Gears of War? Can you play against a team of A.I with a friend on one system?
For sinlge player get Crackdown as it will last you longer, but when you get online get Gears ASAPPiaras007
I agree. Gears is only fun on Co-op with friends, or online with friends. If you are online with random people its rarely fun, unless you are with funny/good people.
Though I don't have Crackdown, I hope to get it soon when I can find it for under $50. I liked the demo but I keep getting a bad Dead Rising-ish vibe from it, where the demo will be more fun than the game. Of course I'm probably the only one to get that from DR.
I prefer Crackdown because of the style of game that it is, but Gears has a bit more bang for your buck. Plus there's a demo for Crackdown on Live so you can check it out and see if you want to to buy it later.
I haven't got Crackdown yet, but TRUST ME, you won't be bothering any time soon when you buy this game as it is absolutely delicious and you will NOT be disappointed... Gears of War :lol:.
