I love the 360 controller, but if I had to make a change it would be to get rid of the annoying battery pack, and to make the face buttons more pressure sensitive like the dualshock 3. Other than that its pretty much perfect.

if you want to get rid of the battery pack go wired, otherwise you're stuck with it.

i'd like to see a better dpad personally

The controller is near perfect. If anything though I'd like to see the joysticks a tiny bit looser, make the face buttons pressure sensitive and improve the d-pad.

Better d-pad for sure! Maybe pressure sensitive face buttons?

I personally like the battery packs. Quick charge kit + multiple batteries means I can keep gaming wireless when a battery pack dies and just switch out the battery pack. I sit around 10" away from my tv so having the controller completely wireless is extremely convenient for me.

10 bit analogs sticks with a smaller dead zone like the ps3 and adjustable stick tension like the razer 360 controller. The dpad also needs to be much better they should just copy the hori turbopad ex2 design since nothing beats that d-pad. Also another thing I would like would be for them to officially have 2 sizes of controllers one around the current size but a larger bulkier version with all the same features of the smaller one would be nice since I prefer the larger size and shape of the hori turbo pad ex2 in my hands but since Microsoft is gay and won't let third parties make there controllers wireless I would have to deal with using a wired controller.

I love the battery pack. When the battery dies I pop it out, dump out the AAs in there and slap them in my charger, and pop in a fresh set. I'm back to gaming with a full battery in less than 20 seconds. When my battery dies on my Dual Shock 3 I'm stuck either playing with a wired controller (completely defeats the purpose of having a wireless controller and is why I cannot stand the dumb play and charge kit for the 360) or I have to wait for it to charge before I can use it again. I'd like to see a better dpad. The transforming controller is a huge improvement but it's still not completely reliable when it comes to registering the direction you press. Maybe slightly tighter analog sticks, too, but everything else is gold.

They need to remove the giant xbox home button from the center and make it smaller on top of the controller similar to the synchronize button for the 360 controller. There's been numerous times during crucial moments online during a game when I would accidentally press the home button and rage. Other than that, just about everything else people have mentioned in this thread I would agree with.

Basically no games utilize pressure sensitive face buttons outside of Metal Gear AFAIK. I think that's a bit unnecessary.

Though looser joysticks(not as loose as the PS3) and a Dpad that's better built wouldn't go amiss.

Other than that, it's pretty much spot on.

In MLB the show for ps3 they utilize pressure sensitive buttons when hitting. If you tap it lightly the batter does a check swing if you press it hard he does a full swing. One of the many reasons why its the best baseball game ever.

I think i would have rechargable battery packs already installed like with the PS3. That would be the only change.

The D-pad. It's terrible, everything else is great though.

On the 360? Why? The triggers are perfect. PS3 Controller needs its "triggers" changed. They went with like a hybrid between the DS2 and the Xbox controller and ended up making a button that's neither as good as a button on the DS2 nor as good as a trigger on the 360.

Controllers were good for me. Rather see the games change in the area of stop making me button smash as tired of my A buttons getting ruined.

I'm no eye doctor, but I wouldn't recommend sitting 10" (inches) away from the TV!
