I just got a 360 and I also just got Splinter cell Double agent off of Ebay. I just put the game in and it says " To play this disk, put it in an Xbox 360 console ". What do I do!!!??!?. Can it be fixed, has this ever happened to you? My cousins coming to play it with me ( We've gone through every splinter cell together since the original, were both big stealth fans ). If you can help us, that would be amazing.
Just keep openiong and closing the disk tray until it works. I've had it happen with older 360 games, and they used to tell me that in order to play iot I needed a Japanese console lol
Well google has a soul and it told me 3 things. Either its the system and needs to be repaired or it's just the game (Just try any other game, maybe even an original Xbox game and see if that happens), or you have a modded 360. Since you just bought it, I'm assuming the last isn't true. But yeah, that's what I found.
Does the game have a lot of scratches, or is it brand new? Just keep trying what the person mentioned above... Also, if you're expecting to play Splinter Cell DA co-op on the same system like you could the last one, you can't. Only the original Xbox version has co-op offline. :(

That happened the first time I popped in my Halo 3 disc, I had never seen that message before and it was rather scary :P Worked the second time though.

i would: 1) give the ebay seller bad feedback, 2) check your local used vg store for a used copy and check the bottom of the disc for imperfections, and 3) take revenge on the world

i actually buy most of my games there (including splinter cell actually).. every game i've bough was in perfect condition (as was stated) and saved me quite a bit of money.
you never did answer though jhonie, was it scratched? or is it in good condition? also.. is it the correct format for your region? (PAL or NTSC (or is it ntcs.. dunno?) that could be the problem.
i duno i guess just becuae i feel their is a risk even if it's slight, it's not worth it....but then again i bought a 360 which gets the red rings...........
