I'm a little confused (Ninga Gaiden related).

Ok, so I never owned an Xbox so I don't know much about their exclusives. When I get my Xbox 360 (hopefully in a week or so) I wanted to try some of the (original) Xbox games. One of these is Ninja Gaiden, but I only want to have to pay enough to understand the story of Ninja Gaiden II. I looked at thetwo NG Xboxgames and that's when I got confused.

There was Ninja Gaiden and then there was NG Black. It (Gamespot) said that Black was a sequel to Ninja Gaiden, but then why isn't the newest one (coming for the 360 in 2008) called Ninja Gaiden III instead of II?

Anyways, can someone just explain this to me?

dunno, is it refering to ninja gaiden for the (S?)NES?
