as for upcoming releases, I recommend:

Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Halo 3, Gears of War 1 and 2, Mass effect, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4.

Those are all must haves IMO

Released: Gear of War, Halo 3, Forza 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Assassins Creed. All great games whatever your taste!

Pending: Gears of War 2 (november release), Fable 2 (november), Left 4 Dead (late october),castle crashersaugust but its a XBLA game you pay on the marketplace). These games are going to be very big and great fun this year.
