I'm going to have a wireless lan party on the highway, via two cars, need advice

Okay on the 16th or 23rd I'm taking two cars full of friends to a paintball arena. It'll be like an hour drive so in the meantime, we mine as well have a wireless 4 on 4 halo 3 system link, right?

Anyway what is the longest feet the two systems can be apart, and let's say if our signal starts to fade away...woudl we get disconnected right away? Or would we like just have major lag? Has anybody tried this? any advice? We'd generally stay 30-50 feet from eachother.

Yeah I'm not doing this because I have major ADD or anything, it's just after we get back from the paintball arena I'm gonna host a lan party; and 7 out of 16 people that are going to the lan party are coming with me to the paintball thing that I'm hosting before the lan party. Anyway so I want to make the day be as kickass as possible, just non-stop kickass, so I was thinking about the wireless thing.

30-50 feet away is pretty far, if its a highway you should just drive side by side that way itll be 10-15 feet at most.Big_player

It is only an hour drive. You cant stay away from video games for an hour. I say wait till you get home after paintball.balindos

very true. it would be a waste of time and effort. maybe if you were going across the country. If you wanna game on the go, stick the ds or psp.

hope you have a good alternator, the 360 pulls almost 200watts during gameplay.

if they are driving it shouldn't be a problem assuming that the generator (i hope that's the english word) is big enough to recharge the batteri on the car.

Sounds pointless, dangerous and irresponsible.

An hours drive really isnt much, take a book or PSP or something, dont bnother doing something that will likely take a good 20 minutes to setup anyway, not to mention is going to be cumbersome and require lots of effort to set up for something thats only going to last an hour their, and an hour back. And will probably be stolen at the site.

Not to mention why are you paintballing?? Airsoft dudes, Airsoft.

Hope you got 300 bucks lieing around for a new alternator. lol... i can see it now.
