Okay I just want to find a capture card so I don't have kids disputing for no reason on Gamebattles. It'd also be nice to make a few montages. So can someone tell me a simple to use, affordable (around $75), and good quality (preferrably HD).

I just posted this for someone else on here lol. Hope it can help you too.If you want high quality HD video go with this:
http://www.blackmagic-design.com/product…

Intensity is $250.

If you want something of DVD quality go with something like this:

WinTV $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

If you just want to post youtube videos anything will do such as this for $25 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…

The only problem you'll have with the really cheap capture cards is that they won't do hardware encoding so you're CPU will have to be utilized, but this is only a problem if you have a really bad PC (500mhz or lower).

Also you'll need and a/v switch so that it outputs to both your TV and your PC. You can hook it up straight to your PC but there is a delay and even cards that say they don't have a delay have minor ones where it can be a real annoyance.

Check out: http://www.monoprice.com/products/depart… and look for what type of connection you're going to be using.
