yea lcd monitor is what im talking about.
and what is a VGA OUT and a VGA IN??? Dont i just need thing called D-SUB on the back?dodgerdawg
VGA IN and VGA OUT should be self explainatory.Input and Output. Meaning the three holes for the VGA IN is an incoming signal. So you can plug your 360's VGA cords in and it recieves the signal and plays it on the monitor. VGA OUT would be running VGA into another TV or monitor or through a VCR. You really don't need VGA out, you want VGA IN. If you want anything going OUT it would be sound to hook up to a theatre system. So VGA IN and AUDIO OUT is what you need. With VGA in you should already have the cables with your Xbox, just plug the red yellow and white into the approriate spots and play.

Well sonny, sence you seem to be so brilliant when I said old monitors I meant CVR monitors, you know, the big bulky ones? Most of which did NOT come with an VGA input. So GENIUS. In order to run it through that, you would have to use a computer, and run the signal through the right graphics card to display on your monitor. Any questions? Or do you want links to all the apropriate equipment? Try to be a smart ass again. young ones these days -.-

Man oh man southwind you have a lot to learn...You should really get your facts right before you put up any kind of information. A S-video cable is NOT a high defintion cable. If you hook up that S-video cable to the back of a graphics card, then have the vga output to a computer monitor, it probably converts it to the resolution set on the 360. If you have the s-video connected directly to a TV, its only standard defintion. 480. You might know what your talking about southwind, but i think your dislexia is preventing you from actually being able to put it into words.
As I said, I have nothing to learn about it. I never said S-video was hi def. I was talking about playing on a damn CRT monitor. Obvioulsy I wasn't refering to the quality of the video, I was just asking him which he was talking about to give him a correct respones. If he really wanted to play on a CRT monitor I would of given the nessicary links, but he wanted LCD, so I gave him a LCD link with the nessacary hook ups. Then you came in screaming it wasn't possible (which might I add it very much is, as I've done it just to see.) All it was was a question, so my "dislexia" (how I've come to have dislexia because you wanted to start an argument about the impossibility of it actually working is beyond me) self, was just trying to be helpful. You came in all "I'm smarter than you are" and you ended up wrong. So like I said, it's possible, it's not the best, but it's possible. Now take your silly arguments elsewhere, because in the end I was right. You can keep bringing up off topic facts, but it's possible. Thanks buddy.Southwind20C
