couldnt handle the gay character.. i mean wtf who the hell puts a gay guy in there main lineup?ericroxsYou must not have played it very long. I got to the Ice Queen and she kicked my ass. I didn't have it in me to level up to beat her so off to Ebay it went.
It took me about 30 hours to beat it, I liked some of the environments (Japan styled one), Japanese language select, some of the cg was good, and that's about it. Way too many battles and most bosses were too easy, hated the way you had to heal, and the story was meh. It's not a bad game but I don't think I'll be playing again
i can't stand those japanese rpgs. the stores are friggin lame as **** and all the dudes look like fruity chicks. it's the same damn thing over and over.
here's a typical japanese rpg
You're a hot babe from unknown origin, who found herself on a distant planet with only fleeting memories of her home and her father (whom she has issues with). In your school girl uniform, you go around blasting giant demons with the power of the moon goddess and the help of your spikey-haired, quiet blonde guy-friend who looks like a total homo after the Lord of Peril opens a gate to the Dark World, you and your band of fruits go and save your long lost father using the sacred Legendary Sword, used only once by some warrior centuries ago whom you're related to, that killed the Ghost Summoner long ago.
Damn, I can't see how you guys can play that game. I played it for a hour and took it back to Blockbuster. That game is just bad. I give props to you guys though, you have a tougher stomach than I do.deuceswld84
i agree that game is complete crap, i bought played and tried to give its do, but why torture myself w/such crap

I'd buy a game like that to add to my collection.
I finished the game but had to use the casino cheat to level my characters up and get a few more Golems that would give me a chance at the final battle section, the screaming homosexual was amusing at first but when the characters had a conversation on fisting it really put me off, not something i'd ever play again and promptly e-bayed it off for pretty much the same amount I'd paid for it a week or so before.
The conversations were so lame, only a few models for NPC's and not even naming them was just lazy.
May have put me off picking up Blue Dragon, can't stand the random-battle mechanic that JRPG's seem to love so much.
Heh, I'm disappointed that there is little love for JRPGs in the 360 community. I rented this game yesterday and I've already logged 5 hours on it. I'm really loving it, as it's the first jrpg I've played in a few years... it's got a little bit of everything I love. I turned on the japanese voices, though, because I didn't like the female voice acting in english... it's just so much cuter in japanese :) (I watch all sorts of subtitled shows, so I'm used to it... and I like it) I actually learn a little bit of Japanese from listening to this stuff.... But yeah, I really like this game, and I intend to beat it in a rental or two.
It's just too bad more 360 owners aren't into these games... or we'd see more of them come from Japan... at least I get blue dragon, anyway.
You can't tell me you don't think the Primrose golem isn't cute.... can you? :)
You know what? I think I'm going to just go out and buy this today, that way I don't have a time constraint on beating it.... sweetness.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head. I do wish though that there were more turn based style RPG's for the 360. As a matter of fact it looks as though turn based RPG's are going the way of the 2d action/platformer. It is unfortunate because I lovedthe slow, methodical pace of the battles.
I've tried my best to labor my way through this game but it's just not over soon enough for me. After dealing with Yuki's history/hometown area, i'm done, i just can't waste anymore time with this rpg. It's getting traded in today no matter what. Is there anyone else out there who was actually able to stomach the chore of playing through this game and finish it?CC914
Wow I admire you , i said Goodbye to it the day after I rented it from Block Buster. Oh and it was more like "Get the Fuk out of my life" as opposed to Goodbye.

I like JRPGs. It's just that the 360 gets sucky ones. Enchanted Arms in no way makes competition for the Final Fantasy series or Dragon Quest. It was just plain annoying.

You know i have to agree with you. I have about 8 or nine hours in and I have been enjoying it! Here is the thing thou.. The last RPG i really sat and played thru was Grandia II on Dreamcast so i havent been oversaturated with JRPG syndrome.. maybe thats why i dont hate this game. I have the Werewolf golem and also that like Stone knight golem and of course Primrose =D. I think its decent not great.. but i dont think its horrible either. I'm looking forward to Lost Oddesey, Blue Dragon and Last Remnant, those look like winners.
