I'm starting to get a bit worried about Mass Effect

For those who haven't seen it: "Mass Effect HD transmission"

I'm scared. That little bit did NOT look that good. I'm being 100% honest, yeah it was action packed and probably part of an awsome story but what in the HELL is up with all of the screens we had been getting up until 2 weeks or so ago? Were they fakes? Killzone syndrome? Man, this is the first time I've been an actual victim of a major downgrade and I have to say...it stings. I have so much faith in this game, why do they keep releasing bad screens, and chugging/bad looking videos...can they not get this game right? Are Xbox fans finally going to be the victim of hype?  I mean for evidence just look at the captain, that character model is HIDEOUS, absolutely and totally devoid of all realism.

What are your guys' thoughts? Are you worried about Mass Effect?

Maybe if you take a look at the pictures released in 2007(especially Sheppards face picture) you will see more detail than you've seen in Geow.

Oh and about being worried TC, don't sweat it. The video appeared like it was in lower rez, but still outstanding. It seems when games aren't show enough people moan but they are people nitpick. TC, when you're playing it, it'll look like the pictures that got released yesterday. And probably even better. So don't get your panties in a bunch :)

I think people are't giving this game the credit it really deserves.Its a bioware game(zomg), with graphics/animations that surpass even Geow,imo, a story that seems very interesting (something Geow didnt really have), and gameplay which is a cross between traditional RPG ingredients served with a Graw **** twist.

I don't think you're really a ME fan as much as a graphics one. Anyhow, for the people who are actually interested in the gameplay and story rather than graphics, here's some info that might make you guys happy.

The game, graphics, sound, whatever has not been "dumbed down". You

360 fanboys only care about graphics and thats what you seem to be... There have been gameplay videos so yea, we can talk about gameplay also.

I'm not at all worried about it for a few reasons.

1. I'm not reliant on amazing graphics to like or dislike a game. Case in point would be that most of the time I play my DSlite over my 20 or so other consoles.

2. The game still looks amazing and even when I see rough edges I have all the confidence in the world in the development house.

3. If it's anything like any of there other games story wise (it is) it really wouldn't matter what the graphics looked like at all. Heck I'd play there other games as text file games and probably still enjoy them quite a bit.

You worry to much I think. 

Listen, maybe it's only because I play games on an SD TV, but that video looked pretty damn good, probably the best I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if that video hasn't been optimized to HD like all you guys are used to.KniferHitandRun

Its not.  I put it on a flash drive and watched it on my 360 and its obvious now that the vid is NOT in HD.  Hi-res maybe but not 720p HD.
