I'm suprised people aren't going insane about the Halo 3 Beta!

after the crappy job they did on halo 2 and waiting in line all night just to get the stupid thing at 12:00am (I feel like such a moron for doing that!!) I will never go out of my way for another Halo game again. That goes for buying a crappy game game just to play the beta verizon for a month. I might even wait to get halo on ebay this time for 20 bucks off. It certainly does not look like anything to get happy over anyway. The game looks almost like the first one. Gears of War will be funner than Halo 3 in my humble option.Dogmatic923

That's why I'm trying to rent the ame for like 3 bucks.  I wouldn't spend more than $10 to play the beta for the whole 3 weeks so this is as close as I can get. 

Yeah it's much quieter today, and I'm grateful because it was getting annoying yesterday seeing all those topics about Halo 3. I might be able to play the eta this weekend if I can rent Crackdown tommorow so I'll have Thursday-sunday to play it. I'm not getting my hopes too high and i'll be happy if I even get to play it at all. Otherwise I'll just wait until release because the retail game won't be any different from the beta in terms of gameplay.primehunter326

you know...aside from the fact that they are hiding alot of stuff from us..... if you have ever been on a beta test for a PC title you should know it's not somthing to judge a finished product by.

Basically because most of us have already watched it being played a great deal...no more surprises. :(  I'm still going to play it a lot though...should be fun as long as I don't play as bad as those people in the GS videos.cecx

I know, what I meant by that was that I wouldn't really miss out on anything other than a chance to play the game early. I know there will be gameplay tweaks and all of the other stuff they aren't showing in the beta but the core gameplay won't change.

Hmm it seemed worse yesterday as far as topics relating to Halo 3. I may be in the beta and I may not depending on if I can get Crackdown tommorow, then I could play it just for this weekend. Otherwise I'll be in the same boat as you. I was pretty unhappy yesterday because it seemed like I was the only one that wouldn't be in the beta but now the other people that won't be in it are beginning to make themselves heard so I don't feel so left out.

yea i guess the hype has settled down a lil since a lot of ppl have seen vids and watched the live feed of gamespot in the beta(which i saw about an hour of)

ill still be playing it though at my friends house for his friend let him borrow crackdown which has the beta

3 whole weeks of a beta, woohoo, why go crazy, this is just bungie screwing with us for some reason. The game is more demo than beta. It's too polished to be a beta. But yeah, I'm excited but, I realize this nothing more than just 3 weeks of, "I CANT WAIT". So i think before the mass hysteria of want sets in, I'll keep what little bit of reserve for the game I still have.njnaz765

oh yes the hole point of the beta is that bungie is out to get you, and screw w/ your head RUN FOR THE HILLS! there trying to get feed back from there userbase in order to make the game even better. and if it's this polished now, just think of how much more polished it will be come this fall.
