I have about 18 games that I just don't play any more. I'm thinking of getting rid of them, whether it be selling or trading in. I have been keeping my mind away from trading games in at Gamestop because I hear they buy the games from you for very low prices.

So, I would just like some advice on what I should do. Should I sell the games on eBay or craigslist? Or are there some cases where it would be better to trade a game in into....*shiver*...Gamestop? I have already observed how much each game sells for on eBay, and have checked out the trade in values on cheapassgamer, but I would just like your opinion.

Here is a list of the games I may sell:

  • Halo 3
  • Modern Warfare 2 (Hardened Edition. Unused COD Classic code, concept art book, special case)
  • Call of Duty: World at War
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
  • Gears of War 2
  • Assassin's Creed I
  • Assassin's Creed II
  • Halo Wars (Limited Edition. All codes have been used. Concept art (or whatever is in there) still sealed)
  • skate. (1)
  • Skate 2
  • Mass Effect (1)
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Fable II
  • Army of Two
  • Army of Two: The 40th Day
  • Battlefield: Bad Company (1)
  • Frontlines: Fuel of War

Worst thing you can do is sell your games. Someday down the road, you will wanna play them again and regret selling them. Happens to everyone.

1. Amazon.com

You can get a fair amount of money in no time, even for the less popular titles. Fairly easy to ship games, cheap, convenient. For me it has been the best option for years.

2. Craiglist

I've only used this one a couple of times, might or might not work. Good thing is that you get more money because you don't spend anything on shipping costs and no Amazon/eBay fee. But itcan bevery problematic, time consuming, even dangerous (if you don't know what you are doing).

I would not recommend eBay at all and I would understand if you end up at GameStop because of how convenient it is.

Good luck selling your games.

first off, i'd like to say that not selling your games to gamestop is the right choice. those are some very good games though. why would you want to sell Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed II?

sell to Blockbuster or FYI if you want to sell to a retail store, otherwise youd be better off selling online
