i got everything connected to my computers modem and it doesnt work..i tested and restarted the console and when it tests the IP ADDRESS one fails...any suggestions?

modem? or router? if you have a router, you should check it's settings. Most of routers come with some default security settings that won't allow you to connect to the internet with your console.

Check the brand and model of your router, google it up to find a tutorial about that specific model.

you have to bridge your incoming connection to the outgoing connection to your 360. Just highligh the connections and right click then click on bridge connections

yea thanks but one question...can i change the settings by going on to the computer and lookin at the network settings? and will 1800-4my-xbox help?

That's right, you can do that,but not looking at network settings.For example,i have a 2wire router, so every time i need to changesomething i type "home" on IE address bar, after that router's menu appear, allowing me to changewhat i need.

Im not sure if this will work on your router.I'm also not sure if they will help you, however, why don't you give it a tryn___n

if you havent got it to work yet try this....ok go to network connection it should look something like this with 2 connectionsand the network bridge probably wont be there on yours. once your here highlight the 2 connections and right click and then click bridge connections

after you bridge the connections it should look something like this:

alright now try and see if its working
