I'd recommend getting Skate and if not that, then Ninja Gaiden II.
Assassins Creed is way too repetitive to be enjoyable more than half-way throug, Uneral Tournament is fun but it just lacks the addicting gameplay you see in most other shooters and Devil May Cry 4 is just a highly polished version of Ninja Gaiden II in visual terms only. It's a good game but Ninja Gaiden'd be a bother choice.
But out of all those, skate. has the best gameplay of them all. Whether you like skating or not, it's extremely fun, innovative and totally fresh.
I have to agree with Quintinus, especially about Assasin's Creed. Yes, I like the game but you do get bored with the repetitiveness and the silly present day "story".
I love Skate.
Depending on your preference you could also try: Mass Effect, Bio Shock or Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Yes these are a little old, but just in case you haven't played them).
If your looking for a great single player game then bioshock and Mass Effect are great games.
Whereas if your after a multiplayer game that is also reasonable fun single player then Unreal tournament 3, GRAW 2 and R6V2 are pretty good choices.
I wouldn't strongly recommend Assassins Creed as the combat and travelling from one city to another can get repetitive and tiresome.
i think i have your solution. my list of more replay value games
dead rising, Civ revolution, orange box, Mass effect, saints row, GTAIV, Forza 2, elder scrolls 4, soul calibur . i cant think of much now,i got headache
Well if you never owned an original box before you could try going back to some classics like Prince of Persia,Fable, etc. You should be able to find them at a cheap price used at Gamestop. That might tie you over until the bigger games come out. As far as 360 games though, I'd probably get Skate if you happen to love skating games. Orange Box is an excellent deal. Ninja Gaiden is pretty good too if you like a good single player experience. GTAIV is a great game with a good single player campaign and nice multiplayer. You might also want to check out some of the XBLA games that their releasing for the summer..
