No way.. I enjoyed the game but the combat was decent and the story was pretty bad. If they improve that with the next version I still doubt I will give it a 10. The only developer that can create games that are even close to being worthy of a 10 is Bioware because they can deliver a great story with characters that you care about. Seriously play Point Lookout that one point wasn't even sad.. I hated most of those characters.
Making it so weapons & ammo are scarce during parts of the game adds to the difficulty, however adds to it in a good way.i have played fallout 3. its a overlygood but not overly greatgame.
i didn't get far in the game, weapons and ammunition were scarce! thats my only gripe.
some people think that oblivion is the better game.

Maybe 8.5-9.0. Aiming is too clunky outside of VATS, and I don't like the way they handled the repair system.
Yeah combat outside of VATS was a pain not always but with certain weapons the problem became huge. Although I didn't mind the repair system I felt it was strange that he didn't just use the hammers and scrap metal or something like that.Maybe 8.5-9.0. Aiming is too clunky outside of VATS, and I don't like the way they handled the repair system.

I really did not give fallout 3 the time of day but watching so many people enjoying it makes me want to go back to it, but playing this game felt way too much like an mmo, I don't want to be playing for 4 hours straight and barely make it out of the first part of the game (not to be taken as literal more just to make a point). I like the idea that this game can be opened up with dlc, but I also think that to be a 10 the game not only has to be the best of its genre but push the envelope on the gaming industry as a whole, does it push that 59.99 price tag it is given, does it go beyond what most people thought to be impossible or improbable in a video game of this generation? I think to be a 10 it really has to make its mark in history as far as the game industry goes.
Also, I like to think about a perfect 10 game to still be in your life 20-30 years from now thinking back on how great gaming was for you, how we think back to the older genre of games now, a game that people want to keep going back to, but will never be able to touch.
I'd give it a 9.7... which rounds up to a 10

according to gamespots rating system, it actually rounds down to 9.5, so no :P
Anyways, yes i would rate Fallout 3 a 10, even though i've completed every quest in the game as well as the 3 first DLC's i still find small things that enhances the experience, like a trader out in the middel of nowhere that i own the crap out of :P
