Okay, this is what happened, my 360 got the RROD, oh boy how I was pissed. But I have exams so that bodes well. Anyhow, I called Microsoft to get the coffin on November 10th. I got the coffin on November 13. Then I got all lazy with shipping my box back and stuff. So it is the 29th of November, I went and sent in the box. The box arrived at the repair center on Monday December 3rd, and it has arrived over here today which is December 7th. Is that too fast?

I can only pick up the box tomorrow so there better not be any surprises. Has anyone had a super fast repair process and ended up with another faulty unit? Hopefully not me though.

I live in Canada and they told me over the phone that they would not bother repairing my console and would just send me a new one. Maybe that is why it took so fast to actually process the new 360.

you are complaining about getting it back too fast? seriously.... come on man.

your xbox was probably not capable of being repaired, so they just shipped you out a new refurb one. that is usually what happens when there is a quick turn around.

Sounds like you got a new one. I think they are doing that a lot trying to keep the boxes in the homes right now. If everyone has their Xbox in the shop, they may not spend Christmas money on Xbox games. So it benefits Microsoft to respond quickly.

Man, I wish I had customers like you when I was selling cars. I would've LOVED to have a customer come to me and say, "Lucas, you're not charging me enough for this car!"

well... at least they told you straight up that a brand new system was on the way  I actually requested to have my original console fixed and sent back in hopes to avoid later problems with content that was previously downloaded thru XBL. Instead, I got a new 360 three weeks later and so far its working fine.

With the big holiday swinging in, you can't help but assume that the repair center is more like a replacement center if anything. I have a feeling since the first Xbox, the Microsoft people kind of developed a art in shipping stuff back and forth swiftly, so either way I wish the best to yer new console ;)

all they do is send out a refurbished 360. I sent my elite in, it took them over a month 1/2 to get my 360 back. the reason they told me was they were going to send out a new elite too me, but they just didn't have any in stock at the moment. so for all the regular 360s they have a stock pile of refurbished 360s. They just send you a refurbished 360 witch makes the turn around time faster.

My friend got back his xbox 360 within 2 weeks. He said they replaced the motherboard on it, still had the same serial number ( I told him to write it down before he sent it away ). Problem was that it was not reading any discs anymore.
