Wow, listen to this folks, Gamespot just posted this....basically, people who get Gears of War UE on XOne before the end of the year, will get the entire Gears of War collection on the 360, free. These older games have been confirmed as being BC on XOne through this news.
In anticipation of the people who will enter this thread to downplay this news, I will say this: Regardless if you played these game a lot or not on the 360, having them all as digital BC titles on your XOne is still pretty cool, should you feel the need to replay some of them. And for newcomers to the series, well this is simply incredible news.
The only thing I wish would happen, is giving these games to people now, at least for people who preordered the UE, they get to dabble in them prior to release. I hope they are not released too far ahead of the UE version. Anyways, here is the story !:

Play Ultimate Edition by New Years and you'll get backwards compatible versions of Gears of War 2, 3, and Judgement.

Microsoft has announced a nice new incentive for the upcoming Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
Everyone who plays the Ultimate Edition before New Years will receive a free copy of every other Gears of War console game released to date for play on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
That means the Ultimate Edition, if you buy it soon enough, actually comes with these four games.
This is part of the Ultimate Edition's $40 price tag; it doesn't cost extra. It sounds like a nice way to catch up on the story so far in the run-up to Gears of War 4's launch next holiday.
Gears of War 2, 3, and Judgment are not remastered, however. You're getting a copy of the game made playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, just like the "hundreds" of other games that will be available this fall when the feature rolls out to all Xbox Live users. It's currently in test for select users."
