seriously, that perk is over used... now everytime u kill someone, u gotta run cuz thier dead body is most likely to explode because they dropped a live grenade... it becomes really frustrating in that hallway map thingie.. u no where u fight in the hall ways..cuz that place has small rooms and it real hard to get away... anypne else want infinity ward to remove that perk?

Not remove it. Maybe it has a certain % chance of getting cooked? 50/50 chance?

I've only been killed by this a few times....but I haven't played CoD4 in a while too. Maybe it is way overused now. I never saw it as a very powerful (or sporting) perk so I never used it. But if it's completely destroying the gameplay, maybe they should consider removing or at least modifying it. I just learned to keep my distance from dead bodies. But like you said, that can be tough on some maps.

have you ever heard them talk about the game? They are too damn proud of their "perfect" system to admit that everything is not absoluetly balanced to everything else

So, the reason they haven't fixed the unbalanced weaponry/perks is because of pride? Are you serious? 0_o

I've heard enough interviews of them to say that yes, that's exactly why. In each and every one, they insist that there is no best or worst weapon, perk, attatchment, etc for any situation and that anything can be evenly countered.

I wonder if they even played their own game. I can think of dozens of useless weapons and perks...

Martydom is best used for Headquarrters if you're the type of person who always charges the designated point, so if you get killed and drop a grenade, you most likely will take out a couple of guys from the other team - I find it close to useless when playing TDM so I usually switch to last stand, which I also have an issue with, to a degree.

I usually only play HQ or TDM, so not sure if martydom would help on any other mode so I realize myopinion is kinda narrow

Only noobs fall for the martyrdom. Experienced players know not to get too close after killing someone.

It's still daft that everyone explodes upon death, and it can be frustrating in tight areas where grenade spam becomes an issue due to the number of people dying.

Martyrdom is one of those perks that players can work around. You just need to be more aware when you're playing. Know the distance between you and the grenade that you need to be in order to survive. Once you've got that down, it's not too difficult. If you're playing headquarters and one drops right next to you, well, you're in luck. Pick it up and throw it quickly. You just might get a kill using someone else's grenade.

With last stand, just assume that everyone has that perk. Assume that everyone will fall to the ground. Always quick scan the ground when you turn a corner. After practice, you, too, can overcome last stand. There, now doesn't everyone feel better?

It's not destroying it. It's just annoying, that's all

this perk also is something that everybody does in a first person online shooter. they run right over the dead body of the person you killed. Its a habit that infinity ward noticed so it adds another advantage to a player. If that habit is in a player it can be easily broken with this perk. I remeber back in the day of Socom 2 online where mines were set on dead bodies. A person could walk an entire field of clear ground but still choose to walk over dead bodies. If a player noticed this, mines were huge. Perfect stragedy. Martydom is the same way. Take time, dont rush, and break those habits!

no the thing here is, like when ur teammates kills an enemy, and u dont see him do that.. then when u go over him (thinking that he's been dead for a few minutes now), the grenade icon pops up, u press RB and it blows up in ur hand... thats what i hate

I wouldnt be worried about martyrdom. I'm more concerned about the grenades that fly off opponent's hands that bounce off of rooftops, roll a little bit, and land inches away from my feet. Call that luck or heatseeking grenades?

True. I still get caught from time to time by martyrdoms. But I think they gave you the ability to sprint for such occasions.

I think someone got killed by a live grenade one to many times....

BTW I don;t use the perk as I prefer steady aim, but I don't complain it is a perk if you have an issue with it play another game...
