well first of all i got to admit i dont know much about gaming. i've had an X-Box for a couple years but i never really played it a lot cause i had just been busy with skoo, sports n other things. but now i dont play sports at skoo anymore so i'm bored as hell cause i have lots of free time now n was thinkin of getting an XBOX 360 u know to have fun. so i was hopin for some advice from the hardcore gamers of what i need to buy to truly enjoy the 360, like i heard theres a core system and premium system. whats the difference between the 2? also what are some of the better games on the 360 that i could buy? i would really appreciate the help!

Well the best thing to do is get the Premimum package (THe one with the hard drive right ? lol) and then yer try and get Xbox Live and thats it really. As for games, im running a topic at the moment called 'Must haves!' where people say wat Xbox 360 games should be owned. :D

nah its over-rated tbh. Just games in the future will be and are now starting to be targetted mainly at Live. Thats why were losing our offline co-ops (Crackdown). But nah, if u have a mate all u need is Gears Of War, Dead Rising (But take ur time with this or u wont enjoy it), erm maybe Saints Row, i like that and ive partially got Live (Free Trials at the mo) and i never play it online. Then maybe Call Of Duty but the only single player is the campaign. Also theres lots of achievements aimed Specifically at Live, like killing so and so in a Online match, but wat the hay.

Yes it is. If you wanna play online with others, which is the biggest part of pretty much any shooter, and download new content for games, you wanna have Xbox live. That, and getting demo's.

well Yer if he wants to play online...i have the opportunityand still i chose not too. And u can have Xbox Live Silver, the free one to download...well downloads... and where has he sed that he prefers or even plays shooters...theres so much more to the 360 then another Fear clone or wateva...So no its not a necessity.

Basically, if u wanna play for fun, then i thik u would get the most sattisfaction from running down undead-corpses with a lawnmower or send civilians or parts of cars flying with the pimp-cane, 2 shot destroys-shotgun and Saints Psyhics engine. (Trust u hit a person crossing the road in a 4 x 4 and they go flying!)

The way I see if, if you have a game with MP, you're only getting half the game if you don't have Xbox live. 50 bucks a year, less then 5 a month.

Well all three games arent co-op, Gears is and it will satisfy u enough. Erm...but then still theres Lost Planet which is meant to be good and Crackdown coming but i think even them arent co-op. Rainbow Six: Vegas is good and its Co-op too. Erm so is Perfect Dark. Dead Rising soon should become a classic which means it will be like £25 so id wait till then. Also if u aint too bothered then get them preowned, i dont myself but i aint got nout else to spend my money on lol

yer £40 a year and he still might not like it plus a computer and internet connection (IF u dont already have it) Plus a wireless adapter if u need it for £54.99, then if u do like it u will probably want another headset for £14. Also the wireless controllers are good but u will need a rechargeable battery or two and a charge kit.

well yer if u need it all. If ur comp is near by just take the lead out the modem or router and put the ethernet cable u get when u buy the premium package. And then the headset u get with it. Its just the wireless controller. U could buy a non-wireless conrtoller and ur bro could use that and u could just use normal AA batteries in ur wireless controller but they run out pretty fats. If u got a wired controller and a play and charge kit but the 12 month Xbox live card thats it really as long as u have internet connection.
