I installed a game to my hard drive on my xbox. it takes up to much space, my opinion is dont install just put the disk inpeterb1990some body needs a bigger hard drive.... my advice is upgrade and install all your games. i payed 35 bucks off ebay for a 60gb harddrive. had it for at least 9 or so months works great i have 8 games installed and dlc maps and still got 14gbs

Think about it. Why would it say install game instead of install game to hard drive ? That doesn't make sense even when theres play game from hard drive it says play game instead. Like what the hell?vi3tboy123Ok. two things. When you install it does it actually install? It should take a while to install a game. If it does that then it DOES install. Now the next thing. When you play a game does the disc spin? there is two ways to find out, one is the sound, go near it and see if you hear tit spinning. the second way to find out is to touch the front of the disc drive and see if it's hot after playing the game for a while. If you can't hear the disc spin and the disc tray is not hot then you're running it from the hard drive.

It's better to install games to your hard drive-- then, playing the game generates less heat and is said to have faster load times.

Not in my experience. The heat coming out of the vent is always hot either way. The only extra heat that generates is from the disc tray since the disc is spinning. When you run it from the hard drive there is more stress on the video card and cpu to run it more smoother therefore there could be more heat cuz of it.Please Log In to post.
