Is it better to install your games to your HD?

If you have a big enough HDD, then yes. It makes your 360 run quieter, makes games load slightly faster, and usually keep your Xbox much cooler than when running a game off the disc. After playing Fallout 3 for 11 hours straight while my 360 stays almost ice cold I would recommend it.

Usually, yes. Although in the case of Halo 3, I think it actually increases load times.

The system runs a lot quieter and games can benefit from faster load times but it's not that big of a difference. It's optional.

If you have the new update the option to install a game to your HDD should appear when you insert a disc.

If you select the game on the dashboard and press Y to "View Game Details" theres an option to Install to Harddrive.

it does not matter really. all it does is make the 360 quieter and make some of the games load faster then on disc.

Some games like Fable 2 actually recommend you don't install the game. Though I installed it and find it does load quicker.

There's always a possibility that it might actually put extra wear on your HDD, it's optional in my opinion.

It's not a waste of time if you play a game frequently; in fact, it's quite the opposite. I play Team Fortress all the time, and installing the game saves about 20 seconds of load time. If I add up all the time I save sitting around for the game to load, eventually that's greater than the time it took to install the game, particularly since I can be doing something else while the game's installing. I can't really go do something else while I'm waiting for The Orange Box to load. What, am I going to go get a bite to eat for one minute?

I do play frequently, and Ive installed games before and it made next to no difference on the load times of what I played. I usually play everyday for several hours since I have a shortened school day and no job, yet I havent played much lately due to the flu... It sucks.

check the link below

games like fallout 3 and fable 2 should be installed. they play much better off the drive. not to mention considerably more stable (for older 360s)

I measure loadtimes before and after I install a game to see if it makes a difference. It's a very big deal with Oblivion, where you're constantly loading areas.
