Intentional Delay by MS on Beta

I was talking to a friend who works for MS and supposedly the delay for Crackdown users is an intentional move by Microsoft to help the servers handle the traffic.  They estimate atleast 60% of the beta users are getting access through Crackdown and this way they can break up the traffic.  Expect the beta to be availiable via Crackdown at noon.

Why do glitches and things automatically mean conspiracy? It's a delay, not a devious move by Microsoft. No big secret here, chief.

Haha, ok.  Theres really no conspiracy here.  They did not want there servers to get swamped so they split up the downloads.  They are doing it for the users best interests.

 he might not be on eastern time but that is definitely what he was talking about. Eastern is the standard timezone when speaking of beta, game, movie, whatever releases

actually no....since MSFT is in Redmond Washington, the standar time for everything is PST

YEAH i mean who needs GMT so what if thats been the system for ALL the releases thus far. lets just make up some more fun stuff!  you never questioned why games were released at 5 AM EST all the time? maybe i give some of you to much credit.

Sorry man but this kinda debunks your theory, unless 60% that are online only equal 5000 people, which isn't likely at all.

An intentional delay to help the servers isn't a devious act anyway.  I'm pretty sure no one will blow their head off if they have to wait an extra couple hours.  Sure I enjoyed getting it at 8AM this morning, but lets face the fatcs here, ITS A BETA.

Haha, ok I am not sure that this debunks the theory as much as it proves that you are bad at math.  I stated that 60% of the overall invites to the beta are through Crackdown which is more than a modest estimate by my friend.  I did not say 60% of who is online already playing it.
