Not, it's bad for the system. Do not get it.

It also voids your warranty....although I have no idea how M$ would know if you used one.

Yea, making the 360 cooler is a bad idea.

Microsoft made it over-heat on purpose.......right....

Make up your own mind.

If anybody took the time and read the warranty you would know that 3rd party devices that damage your system will void your system.

Just leave LOTS of room in the back of it, like if the wall is warm behind it move it further forward, and if you think its got dust in it use a hoover on the back and itll suck it out. Also if you leave it on to download stuff leave it on the startup screen cause with games playing it gets ALOT hotter.

Guess you havn't seen the pictures of burned 360's, or seen the many stories about how bad it is for the system.

The system does not need it, so don't buy it.

The Intercooler will not damage the 360. Your making rumor into fact. Just because some crazy guy on TV says that there were WMDs in Iraq, does not make it a fact.

Use reasoned logic.

I would rather that my 360 died faster and i could get it fixed than possibly having it live a little longer and voiding my warranty, leaving me with a 300 Special K husk.

Let's use logic, shall we? The intercooler draws power from the 360's brick. I'm pretty sure the power supply is regulated, meaning it only outputs a certain number of watts, regardless of what's attached to it. That in turn, means the intercooler robs the 360 from some of that power, no matter how little it may be. This does not sound detrimental to you?

And on top of that, Nyko has come out and said they will replace any systems damaged by their cooler. Why would they even do that unless there is a problem? O wait, logic says nothing is wrong

I know lots of people in real life that use the Intercooler and love it. No problems whatsoever.

If Microsoft did not intentionally design a computer (Xbox 360), with a DVD-Drive covering the GPU Heat-Sink, then there would never be any talk about buying cooling peripherals.

Its Microsoft's fault. They admited it, but will not take full responsibility.

Why do I say that when they extended the warranty....

They may have exteneded the warranty, however they failed to mention that they will not be opening one additional repair center. They also failed to mention their poor customer service. Failed to mention the 3-4 week turn around time.

Look the 360 is a great console because of the games. Take away the games, and all you have is flawed hardware.

I don't want to start an argument. I just want to get this info know to everyone. Gamespot does not want anyone to know the truth.

Oh don't get me wrong, i never said the 360 wasn't flawed. Mine's collecting dust at the moment waiting on the coffin. But the Intercooler does make things worse and doesn't help anything. If your 360's going to go it's going to go regardless. Those friends' 360s would probably still be alive regardless.

I dont know how many times Ive posted this. An external fan wont do **** Its the heatsink on the GPU that is the problem. If you got a faulty heatsink it will fail with or without the intercooler. Think about it. Would you place a fan outside your PC. Do you really think that would stop your CPU in your PC from overheating. No It wont.

MS are replacing all heatsinks on new an refurbished consoles to correct the problem. If you wanna spend money on something you dont need go ahead.

I prefer to spend my money on games.

I'll agree with that.

Also I appreciate everyone's constructive criticism and honest opinions.

Its not trolling to give an opinion. However there are some people on Gamespot that hate free speech.

Please continue giving honest feedback. :)

I dont have a problem with free speech i have problems with you making an incorrect and unfounded judgement about 360s, saying that the intercooler is good first then agreeing with the next guy who believes the EXACT OPPOSITE and slagging off gamespot for no reason.

JohnWinger

So every statement i make on Gamespot needs to be backed up with links and Offical Statements?

People like you need to open your eyes. The world is not a court-room.

I have the right to say Gamespot sucks if I please. I don't have to explain why I even feel that way. I've been using this site for over 10 years. Above all else people are banned and moderated for stupid reasons. Mainly for offending anyone who areoffended easily.

Saying the 360 is garbage...you get banned.

Take a look at my profile mister. I AM A 360 FANBOY!!!!!!!!

Its the only console I own.

I love the 360. I just don't like Microsoft's Customer Support.

Id rather that you just speak to me directly JohnWinger, cause i own a 360 and love it also, but your statement on the intercooler is incorrect, and most gamespotters abide by the rules so as not to be banned, and i dont see why you should be an exception especially when you openly insult them.

But it is true. It has been known to actually melt to the back of the 360 and overwork the fans. You are just naive.
