My computer uses wireless internet but also has a built-in network card. The only possible way to get internet on my Xbox 360 is by using Internet Connection Sharing. I have a piece of crossover cable but keep getting an IP error. Any guides for setting this up?TekkenMaster606
ok, you ain't explaining much, i'm thinking you've got a notebook computer, though you might have a desktop but pci wifi cards are more of a rarity. Depending on whether you have win xp or vista it can be a bit tricky or very very difficult... xp has an easier way to configure network connections... all you do is go to your network connections, find the wifi card, right click it go into properties, go to the last tab "advanced" and select where it says allow other network users to..blah blah blah, select ok and it'll now assign a static ip address to your NIC. Then, if you want to share files to your 360, remember to set that up using windows media player, though a bit of a downside is you need to enable UPnP. This all works fine with the windows firewall running so it should give you no issues, but if it does just remember to disable it before you game...
