I have exactly 13.8 GB's left on my hard drive. I really don't plan on having anything on it other than a few songs (less than 10) game saves and map packs. Anyways, has anyone had a 360 since launch or have a bunch of saves/map packs and were forced into buying a 120GB hard drive?

I've had my 360 since launch and I am doing just fine for space. Granted I have no movies or TV shows, but I have like 6 demos at any one time. You should be fine.

So you don't think that I'll be running out of space after downloading say... Halo 3 map packs? How big are map packs usually anyways?

If you download a lot of shows, movies, or have or will have an mmorpg, the 120 drive would be nice. Final Fantasy 11 almost takes up 7 to 8 gigs of the 13 gig drive you have. If you are planning on playing FFXI, Age of Conan or any other mmo, then i would say get the 120. But you are right, you really don't need it if you are just getting XBLA, music and just saved games.

I have to go against the general consensus and recommend the 120gig elite. Why consider even limiting yourself at this point? I have the 20gig version and I continually have to delete demos in order to download new material. Is this a huge deal, probably not, but why should you have to delete a demo that you have not really spent a lot of time with because a new and perhaps more appealing demo is issued. While I have not downloaded any movies or TV shows, I have been tempted and it makes sense to keep the possibility of purchase open. Just a thought. Heck, they have offered free shows such as the Heroes Pilot. I say, why choose what you need to keep and what you should delete when the items in question are still relevant?

Unless you are going to be downloading abunch of HD TV shows, the 20 GB should be enough.

I know there's no Halo 3 map packs. I was referring to the fact that I will eventually download Halo 3 map packs or any other map packs for my games in the future.

I'm never going to download a movie or a show though. All I need the hard drive for is for a few songs, game saves and map packs. I'm hoping the 20GB will last me at least a year or two perhaps?

Alrighty then! I guess I should keep my Halo 3 360 instead of upgrading to the Elite.

I came close to filling up a 20GB, because I used to download a lot of HD movies. If you are using the storage place, for gaming purposes, 20GB is more than enough.

I have more then enough, exept if the download series and movies come to europe. You dont need to upgrade to the elite, jsut get a HDD. And for all my music needs, videos, ect i got my PC with Orb so i just stream everything over. I hope that europe get those movies, and tv series stuff soon, becouse then i can stop downloading illigaly. Since most shows arent show where i live.

20GB should be enough, but I find my self running out of space all the time. I download a lot of demos and videos, so I'm thinking of upgrading to the 120GB, or I can delete the video right after I have watched them.

It depends on what your gonna do with it. If its mainly just game saves then its more than enough. But if you plan on doing stuff like downloading games, saving videos and music, etc. then you'll probably want to upgrade.

The 20gb drive was more than enough before NXE was released, now with the ability to shut your xbox up with installing games, and extending the life of your DVD-ROM (and cutting chances of RRoD) the 60GB or 120GB is more than needed, and what with the growing number of demo's, arcade titles, and downloadable content for games you already own. Plus Netflix offering movies on the 360.

So no, the 20GB version isn't enough for a normal 360 gamer, but if you're an offline gamer, and don't wish to download any content, or install games, then 20gb is more than enough.

I've never filled my 20 GB. Just deleting movies and demos you have watched or are tired of clears up a lot of space.

if the only thing u do with 360 is playing games, then it's not a problem.

20 GB is fine for normal use.

That being said, having the 120 GB is nice because you don't have to delete anything and you can install games to your HDD as well (saves the noisy DVD drive from spinning and speeds up load times a bit).

I have nine point something left on my 360... I have alot of game saves, but the thing that takes up the most space is the music i have saved on it... which I'm going to have to start deleting once Street Fighter IV, GTA IV DLC, and Batman are released next year...

I've been wondering this too, I have around 7.5 GB left. I don't plan on downloading movies or anything, but as long as the 360 is out I'll be getting updates and DLC. Also the good arcade games, so I don't know whether it's worth it to invest in the 60GB drive, or if my 20GB will suit me.
