i got it and i think its pretty good, takes some getting used too....not as good as lost odyssey.....i wish square would make a old fashioned turn based game like lost.....but its still pretty good.

If you actually looked around first, you would see that people say this game is highly underrated. Also, since you understand taht it got a low rating on GS, then I better not see you again after you played it and hated it in a whole new thread.

This game is one of my favorite rpgs in years man. I simply love the strategic combat, the amazing story and the good characters. Like the poster above me said, this game is very very very underrated imo. Yes it does have some technical issues, but nothing that ever botherd me personally that much. I reccomend anyone who enjoys a good story or is an rpg fan to try this game.

dude, it's epic install it on the hard drive and play your heart out just one word of warning SAVE OFTEN...like after every dungeon or fight, and sometimes IN dungeons why? because this game can be BRUTAL at times also, the first time you fight the Conqueror's army (when you have to go to the Eagle's Nest), SAVE RIGHT BEFORE and then if you can't beat it after a few tries, don't worry, not a lot of people could you might have to go back and grind for this one but that's the only time i've had to so far

it's turn based

a little different than you think

as in there's more to it than choose an action in a strategic battle setting and then wait out the turn

but it's turn based nonetheless

I was so excited for that game, but then I saw how bad the reviews were. I won't get it though it pains me as I haven't played a good JRPG since Lost Odyssey came out last year. I'm holding out for FF13...

besides Tales of Vesperia/Legendia, Star Ocean and Infinite Undiscovery, how many real REAL-TIME RPGs do you see? i'm confused on why you'd begin to think it was real-time

EDIT: oh wait, you're an Oblivion/Fallout 3 guy aren't you? well even the original Fallout games were turn-based i'm afraid

Yeah, Im more into Western RPGS like Oblivion and Mass Effect haha. And I didnt really care for Fallout 3 (Ending killed it for me), and I never played the original Fallout titles. But I did love Knights of The Old Republic 1 and 2. BioWare is golden

KoToR was great...it was semi-turn-based Last Remnant is definitely turn-based though, it's incredibly obvious i loved the original Fallout...i never played 2...Fallout 3 is fun, but the limited ammo and the things that die stay dead ideas kill a lot of people's hopes of exploring the whole world...esp people like me who love using explosives haha...and yeah, the fact that end-game didn't exist was pretty harsh too Mass Effect was a bummer for me...it was hard for me to tell if i was hitting anything until it was dead haha...i gave up out of frustration for the crosshair xD Oblivion was really fun...i actually played the end-game ^^

Lol, I LOVE Mass Effect. Its probably my favorite game on the Xbox 360 lol. It has several flaws but I think the story is amazing and the game play is just awesome IMO. I love using Throw on a group of enemies on one side of the room, and then using Singularity on the other side just to watch everything be swept into Dark Matter xP The bad thing about Mass Effect is the framerate and the texture popping. If the fixed the framerate problems and the texture popping it would be even better. Hell, they could even have Texture Fading like Gears 2 and Id be fine. I really like that effect in Gears 2 haha. Fix that and Bioware has got themselves a 9.5 game, and add some variation to the Uncharted Planets and theyve got themselves a 10/10 game xD If I dont get an announcement for Mass Effect 2 this year, I will be very... very upset.

heh, i'll prolly buy Mass Effect 2 regardless i'm a guy who likes to think that sequels will improve =D i didn't have much a problem with the framerate or texture popping...i play a lot of indie games on the PC anyways, many of which are RPGs and have some minor issues like that... i just had an issue of not knowing immediately whether i was hitting something or not...the crosshair was so big on the assault rifle that i didn't know whether to re-adjust my aim or sit there and hope to hit something haha i did play about half-way through but i mainly used the pistol and got raped in boss fights quite frequently xD

Dont let reviews turn you off of this game, especially if you enjoyed Lost Odyssey (alot of the problems people had with Last Remnant they had with Lost Odyssey aswell, because they both use the unreal engine). All my friends who enjoy Lost Odyssey are loving Last Remnant since i told them about it. Definatly give it a rent atleast man, but i HIGHLY reccomend it if you liked LO.
