I will only put in my halo 3 disc for Halo 3 campaign. Other wise i will be on the ODST matchmaking screen or firefight/campaign screen. The ODST lobby looks cooler lol.
the 2nd disc contains the halo3 mp experience along with ALL the maps that came so far including 3 new ones. The 1st disc is the odst campaign, firefight and the reach mp beta
oh and ofc im sticking with Halo3. Theres 3 new maps, though ODST will steal a lot of my time :P and Halo3 will get lonely for a bit

If you bought halo for 20$ and and both the map packs that 40$. For 25$ more you could get firefight, a new campaign and some other features

I'll probably use the Halo 3 disc more than the stand-alone disc to be honest. I mean Halo 3 has multiplayer AND a game on it, the multiplayer disc just has the multiplayer. They might has well have not even included that extra disc with the game, and instead just released this game as DLC for Halo 3.
The ODST MP Disc IS Halo 3 MP, just with all the maps. Think of the MP disc of ODST as the original Halo 3 disc minus the campaign, and plus every single Halo 3 map

Most of them got bored of Halo 3 after about 6 months, yet they still play an even older game. Perhaps Halo 3, to the die hard fans, just wasn't as good?

Most of them got bored of Halo 3 after about 6 months, yet they still play an even older game. Perhaps Halo 3, to the die hard fans, just wasn't as good?I've never played Halo 2, but I think Halo 3 multiplayer is hella fun. Guess I'm just not l337 enough or a die hard fan.

No. It just comes down to each person's own personal preferences. You're always going to have people who dislike a sequel, no matter how good it is. I know plenty of people who played Halo 2 regularly who still thoroughly enjoy play Halo 3 on a regular basis. So it has nothing to do with how long you've been a fan of Halo, really.

halo 3 is simply ok to me now, i haven't played in ages minus a few private matches with my marine buddy oversees. cod is just more engaging and there's more incentive to keep playing and leveling up. plus, after playing cod, halo feels sluggish. to each his/her own though.
I'll get ODST, play the campaign, play the MP for some time, and then go back to COD4, and wait for MW2, and then I stop COD4 as I START PLAYING MW2! :P
