Is anybody who plays Soul Calibur IV online actually good?

I just started playing this game online today and so far it seems like a complete and utter spamfest. Don't get me wrong there are definitely people on there that can legitimately kick my ass but the majority of people that beat me are people that do the same cheap move over and over and over making the game no fun at all. So has anybody else noticed this or is it just me?

I played it for a few days and I was pretty good with a Samurai I made. But people usually just spam 1 move and they win.MickeyTheNinja

I'm glad I'm not the only person that recognized this. It's really sad because I've loved SC since the first one and I was excited to be challenged by people online but instead all that there are is spammers. :/

Just learn to counter that attack then. I think it's funny when people get mad at spammers because I find them to be the easiest to beat in most fighting games. If you know what they're going to do every time they attack then just figure out a move that gets past it and their strategy is out the window and they'll usually stop doing that move.

That being said they're still annoying and it sucks how every fighting game gets infested with people who just want to mash buttons to win.

I'm not gonna lie I don't usually block in fighting games. X_X

i dont have this game but i played SC2 a couple of years ago and there was a way to block spammers by pressing the pad buttonplus the shield button.
