Does anyone like me OCD about taking care of thier games and putting them away when done?

my 360 games, and all my games, have original boxes and in perfect condition. i keep them in order on a shelf and put them back where i took them out of. one reason is i kind of am OCD and games are so much that i wanna take care of them so they work.

i cant stand people that just leave their games laying around where everand on the floor to get danaged.

I must admit I also have a sort of system and like to keep things in place and good condition. I have a shelf and from left to right it holds PC, Xbox and PS3 games. Gaming wise I like things organised, my controllers and headsets are always in the same position. Maybe I'm a bit to organised? but well, it's just how i am

I do exactly the same, last xbox game I played stands in front of the xbox games, same with PS3 and PC games

in a way I am.. I keep my 360 games all together and the same with all my other consoles.. and yes I make sure that each game is in its own case, and I NEVER leave a disc just laying around and letting dust, and what ever particles get all on it... and yes ALL of my games bought brand new, STAY that way, unless I bought them new, well they stay in the condition that I bought them in.

So no dude you are not alone in that

I take care of my games as well

keep em in a shaded cool area nicely arranged and I never let em just stand around without a case

I also clean my controllers once every 2 weeks or so

Not so much with my games, but DvDS in a converbelt type system, most recently watched, to the other end. Just makes sence really.

I'm kind of OCD about everything haha. My DVD's, CD's, books, but especially games. The disc always comes out of the system when I'm done playing and goes back in the case. I keep my games in order of when I bought them on my shelf. My game cases are all in mint condition and I'm always leery of letting other people borrow a game of mine because I'm afraid that they'll mess it up somehow or another.

I'm also OCD about the 360 game case cover. For whatever reason, I don't like the platnum hits covers. If there's an older 360 game that I want I always try to find a copy with the original cover.

I always make sure I keep the boxes in perfect condition and I usually group similar games together on a small DVD rack I have (Halo trilogy is in one group, etc). My roommate kept switching games between boxes for a while and I wanted to hit him sometimes for it :P. I may have once too...we didn't get along well....

I alphabetize all my games and keep them all in the original case accept the current game I am playing, which I put directly next to the console. Unfortunately, my family is the exact opposite and leave stuff lying out on the floor. Some PS2 games and DVDs now have significant damage due to them :( .

My games are usually organized by the console they belong to. All 360 games in one section, Wii on another, Ds on another etc.

I try to keep them all organized so that I can actually find what I'm looking for.

lol I used to until I started babysitting this one kid. He leaves my discs and boxes everywhere, and has gotten me in the habit of it too simply due to the fact that I gave up trying to keep track of everything he was messing up. Drove me nuts at first, but I'm fine with it now. I usually let things in my room get pretty bad and disoraganized for a few weeks, then on a free day I'll spend like 3 hours putting everything back right only to have it get disorganized again in a few days :P Though I am a bit OCD about those stickers on used games, they drive me crazy. Also Platinum Hits boxes, I'll buy em but I prefer the normal box for some reason.

Not really. Once they're alphabetized, you don't have to change much. I alphabetized them while watching tv, so I didn't mind too much. And I also arrange them by system (360-Wii-GCN-PS2-DVD-CD) like someone said earlier.

I totally am. It bothers me so much when I don't have a box or manual for a game. And I have my games arranged in a system that makes sense to nobody but myself, but they have to be that way. I actually went into my brothers room doing winter break and put all of his games in the cases and organized them. I also can't stand having the platinum hits/ greatest hits/ player's choice versions of games. The silver, red, yellow, or orange addition to the cases annoy me to no end.

I have no idea what OCD means. Having said that, I have no DVD shelf at the moment, so all my games are just in a pile on one of my speakers. I don't have too many games though, so it's not too much of a mess.

I think OCD isn't an actual disorder; I just think everyone has a habit or two. But I'm totally with you on the games, dvd's, and cd's. I alphebetize them, I have to have the case and manual with it. I bought Lost Odyssey for $15.00 cdn (it was mislabelled) and it didn't have the manual. It still drives me nuts to this day. One other thing I do is have the disc upright so when I open the case, I can read the label... I know, I know....

I have a few preowned games that don't have the manuals with them and it annoys me everytime I think about it. I've considered getting on ebay and spending the money for a new in box or mint in bow or whatever they call it, a new copy just to have the manual and a mint condition case.

I do the same thing with turning the discs upright but I never really thought about it until now. OMG I'm worse off that I thought haha.

I have to eat an even amount of food, when i eat chips i need to randomly grab even amounts or else i can't stop eating them until i do(with any snack of the sort),i prefer even numbers, and i can't think or concentrate straight whenever i have an odd amount of bullets that is when i notice it. People actually do have OCD and it does interfere with their life. Though mine isn't increadibly severe just an annoyance my father was diagnosed with OCD as a child too so it does run in my family.Oops i ment he started having problems when he was a kid not diagnosed.

Dude, I'm the exact same way! All my games are in excellent, pristine condition. I have them on a CD rack. Sometimes when I'm bored or waiting for a game to load, I put them in alphabetical order! lol I never let anyone borrow my games either. I never leave them out of their cases or leave the game in the tray when my 360's off. The things cost so damn much that I want them to stay in great condition, so I can keep playing them!

as much as i like the boxes, i have too many games so i keep them all in a large DVD case. From oldest to newest (only wii and 360 games) i have the Fable 2 special edition box next to my xbox because of the fact its LE, and didnt wanna waste the cool cover. mine is just more space efficient. i have a box that all my gaming stuff goes in, but its not that organized, sometimes i go through it all and organize it, but the wii nunchucks just F everything up lol. i leave a controller by my TV for easy access and sometimes leave Cds on my TV if i get REALLY lazy, but htats not very often.

reading everyone elses i feel really messy now lol

This is what I do as well, though I keep all the empty boxes anyway because I like to look at them from time to time. Much more efficient for bringing games to friends' houses and such.

No you're not. I have all of my games in alphabetically order in a corner. I'm even picky about the box; I bought the Madden NFL 09 Collector's Edition and didn't like the way the box looked in my game corner, so I traded 2 DVD Cases for Xbox 360 cases at the GameStop I work at, found Madden NFL 09 and NFL Head Coach covers online, and now they sit in my collection like regular games. Yeah, I'm that hardcore

I'm not really OCD, but I do take good care when handling the discs and putting them back in their cases when I'm done playing. Partly because the 360 was a sort've expensive purchase so I don't really want it to break :|

Haha kinda. I keep all my game cases on a shelf in some random order that looks alright and then all the discs are kept in a seperate dvd binder so the cases aren't always out of place and messed up all the time.

yeah, I'm like most of you. I have all my games organized by system and on a shelf. Plus my console and controllers are all organized around my tv. The only way I differ from you guys is I arange my games by genre. Like I'll put my RPGs together, FPS together, Fighting games, Sports, etc. I even in the basement have all my older game system's games on a shelf organized like that as well. I just find it easier to find games since I have so many games.

OP: I am exactly like you, I find it hard to let my friends borrow games because I feel they'll wreck them in some way or another, funny thing is I'm only like this with games, I don't care about films or albums :3

Does anyone like me OCD about taking care of thier games and putting them away when done?

my 360 games, and all my games, have original boxes and in perfect condition. i keep them in order on a shelf and put them back where i took them out of. one reason is i kind of am OCD and games are so much that i wanna take care of them so they work.

i cant stand people that just leave their games laying around where everand on the floor to get danaged.

haha...i do the exact same thing as you
