is anyone else sick of current gen?........

seriously I've been ready for the next xbox for the last year.. I believe the whole "10 year cycle"..(not that i remember microsoft saying that).. is WAYYYY to long for consoles..when a new console is out computer hardware has caught up and passed it within 6 months. but we're into the 6h year of these consoles and personally enough is enough.. I just built a new PC so it is holding me over. But I miss the console community and the hype of new games and a new system..I reallly expected to have seen something at E3..

Halo 4 and NHL 13 will hopefully get me until 2013 release of the new consoles.. or so the rumor is.. I am frustarted as a console owner to say the least.

Is anyone else this frustarted?? or am I being impatient?

rumor they will be annouced 2013. but im content with the way it is now for maybe another 2 years

Always excited to hear about the next system coming out, but no, I am not sick of the current generation at all.

I just got my 360 about a year or so ago so no I'm not tired of this gen yet.

No i'm not tired of this gen.

Nope, not even close of being tired of this gen there are plenty of good games out, and plenty more coming out that I think I just might pass on next gen. I sometimes wonder where people were During Sega Genesis/ SNES/NES era. even in this generation I still like playing those systems pretty well.And Xbox 10 and Playstation 12 are already outdated we should just skip to Xbox 15 and Playstation 17. And as for next gen think I'm just going to be getting Nintendo Wii U this time, guess I'll be finding out. and I also did recently just bought an Xbox 360 so I'm good on systems for a while now.

I am more excited about hearing about new and interesting game , rather than a new console. Could care less about how new my console is, but i do care about the games that are available for it.

I'm still cool with this gen. I still got some games that I need to play, but I just haven't had the time to play them.

Not at all, I'm happy with what consoles are for now.

i'm okay with the consoles, but this gen has been nothing but shooters, shooters, and more shooters, thats what im really sick of, we cant get any quality rpgs, or platformers these days...

You know, I never thought I'd say this but I have to admit I kind of agree. The games that are coming out now for this gen just feel like the same thing, and the small handful of games that stand out are growing forgettable to soon. I'm very much ready for the next gen and am extremely interested to see what happens with it. At least it will be something new.

I think the hardware is fine for the moment. The real thing getting stale is game variety. Everything is becoming less inspired. Games and game series that used to have more depth are becoming uninteresting action clones. Seems like everything is turning into either a boring 6-hour shooter or copycat third-person action game. So dull.

In this case, I would hope that the next gen would alleviate some of the sameness, but I won't be hoping too hard. Gonna have to start looking for old SNES and Dreamcast games instead at this rate.
