Is anyone getting tired of the word multiplayer?

1.) THREE AWESOME singleplayer games

2.) An odd singleplayer game that is like a puzzle. FPS combined

3.) Team Fortress 2 sweet mulitplayer

but when you buy a game for 60 or 70$ (from your own work and not your daddy's money so you can feel it)

a game like the darkness (from what i heard its short and have no good MP) it will not gonna last you for more than a week , why? because the MP is week.

me personally when i buy a game i choose one of those:

1-short game but blast MP (G.R.A.W 2)

2-long long game but no MP or the MP is week(Oblivion)

3- a game have both good MP and good SP (forza 2)

so if you were in my place you will say the same thing and im sure if anygame out there other than RPG and have no MP believe me you will leave it as soon as you finish it(dont tell me achievement) .

and yeah its more fun to play with real people other than the stupid AI.

What is that supposed to mean. Just because some people aren't obsessed with the story or interested in repeating it multiple times over means that they aren't gamers at all? What gives you the authority to say that people are or aren't this or that.

Anyway. What is so wrong with multiplayer. Multiplayer modes connect people and spread the fun of games. MP also lets you play after you've played through the Single player game. If you don't like multiplayer than either play games that don't have it or deal with it.

If a game has bad multiplayer, you don't blame the concept of multiplayer, you blame the company for being a lousy developer... if a game has a lousy storyline such as Halo 2, it's the devolopers fault for being full of themselves and thinking they can make the storyline into something laughably obsurd! Yet a real gamer sees the good part of the game and plays what they like to play! Some games are just more naturally attuned to certain aspects of the game.

Time out. Half-Life didn't/doesn't need multiplayer in any way shape or form. It's an excellent series that actually tells an amazing story. The mods and multiplayer are just sweet, sweet icing on the cake. And on a side note, HL spawned some of the best mods ever. DoD1.6 all the way, baby. Now if you'll excuse me, Megatron needs my help.

and GOW was made better with it's co-op, of course I beat it about 4 times the first week I had it and got all the achievements for that so don't play the single at all anymore, except to hear baird say "They're called theron guards!"

For the record, crackdown was made 100x better with co-op... I had so many hilarious episodes kicking my friend off the top of buildings/throwing cars at him, etc... I laughed so hard it hurt on multiple occasions, that's what multiplayer is for, so you can share your crazy antics in games with others!JimBurber

i agree,first of all not everyone has xbl gold service.second of all it sucks how a game could have a short,disapointing single player(halo2)but have good multiplayer and its rated so high(halo2).and because they focus on such good mulitplayer the single player ends up being disapointing.
