Assasin's Creed dosen't even have any replay value just acrobatics, you'd be better off with Spiderman 3 if your into that kind of thing. Whats the point of shelling out 60 bucks for a game thas only moderately fun the first time through? Get Mass Effect if you want a great game.
Heck its fine with me...it can be repetitive all it wants aslong as its fun...which it is....definately worth buyingZ-Bombz
But the fun dosen't last very long, after you beat it theres nothing to make you want to go back and play it again.
Yes, it's an amazing game.grunt1096
'Nuff said! I almost NEVER buy action games that are single player and even I'm saying this is a must buy game! It's really that good.

the gameplay is tons of fun...ill probaly beat it,coollect everything, and beat it again.
ive been playing for 5 hours and i have found some thing new in like every 15 minutes
dont worry about it being reppetitive(horrible speller)....small spoilers
everytime you assasinate one of the 9 guys you get a new abilty or weapon to keep the gameplay fresh
Yeah. It's a great game. The graphics and lighting are awesome, all the voice-acting is spot-on (although Altair's dialogue is annoying at times), and the game is the first time I've seen an honest attempt at replicating actual swordfighting.
It's kind of like Prince of Persia, but the story and atmosphere are different. All of the powers work really well, and lunging off of buildings to stick a hidden blade into a guy's neck is satisfying every time. Chases with the guards work great, hearing them scream as they are flung off cliffs is priceless.
The only thing that really bugs me about the game is how every time you climb up a wall in view of lots of people, you hear someone in the crowd say either "Why is he doing that?" or "I've never seen anyone do that before" or "He should stop acting like a child." Considering this is my only complaint about the game, It is definately worth the money you pay for it. All the animations are really smooth and the presentation is cinematic and epic. The controls are masterfully thought-out. All in all, it's a great game. When you're doing really well in a fight, weaving through enemies and whirling about throwing knives into peoples' faces, it looks like a choreographed movie fight scene. And it still plays incredibly well.
I sound like a fanboy here, but I really can't stress enough what a great game this is. The achievements are challenging, but do-able, so you feel like they are worth getting FOR THE FUN OF IT. Lots of games forget that that is what achievements are about.
But why are you reading this? You should be at the store buying Assassin's Creed if you have not already.
My reccomendation: After you get the knife, don't use your sword any more. You feel more like an assassin when you fight with daggers.

Yeah- every unlock lets you play the game in a completely different way if you want- but you don't have to if you just want to stick with the same sword attacks. You health is proportional to how many side missions you do, so if you are having trouble, do some of them to cath up. I can't play this game for less than 4 hours at a time.
Considering the game lasts anywhere from 20 to 50 hours, why would anyone NEED to replay it, with all the games that come out between now and Jan. 1st?

You've played it, I assume?
Ive been playing for around 16 hours and not once have Ive went "Ugh, I dont want to do this again" or anything like that.
It is the funnest game Ive ever played, and Ive played a hell of a lot of games. Ive only noticed 2 glitches which were just collision detection issues but I can spend hours upon hours of this game just exploring, let alone doing the assassinations. Its amazing, and with you only being able to play a couple hours each day, this game will last you a very long time. Ive played a total of 16 hours so far and I just got to the sixth main assassination, and I think Ive got 4 or 5 of the side assassinations, the whole other time Ive been roaming around. The controls are so fluid and amazing that after you get past the tutorial level, you'll be good to go. The free running in this game has to be the best form of getting around ever in a video game. This is a MUST BUY. 9.9 from me, and it would get a 10 but no game deserves a 10 because no game can be perfect. Buy it, you will not regret it.

ya but for most thats alirhgt. i myself am a one and done kind of person. once i beat the story the only reason i would continue to play it is if im decent in multiplayer or i havnt gotten all the achivments
i can bet you money kennyofhearts never even played the game.
the reason IGN, and other reviewers, say it's repetitive is because they rushed to beat the game to get a review out. they didn't play the game for the sake of playing it, they played it so they could get a review out asap. the point of a sandbox game is so that you can do anything you want while still doing your main quest, NOT to rush through the main quest. i already beat the game once, but i'm playing it over again just for the fun of it, and maybe i'll get a few achievements i missed if i feel like it.
read gabe's article on assassin's creed @ www.penny-arcade.com (scroll down a bit). it's a great read and also does a good job of explaining why the website review for this game should not be followed.
