Never got into this series even though i love stealth games, just not into the whole 900 years ago setting. Is it worth it? And how long is the game

It's pretty long (around 15 hours I'd say) but I much prefer the first Assassin's Creed over the second one. I know I'm practically alone on this, though :P

In some ways AC 1 was awsome. Altiar is epic. And the actual assassinations (After the repetive do this, do that) Were alot better than the other AC's. Altiars just not as OP as Ezio.

Yeah that was actually my biggest issue with the second one. In the first game, each assassination felt like a puzzle on its own, just to get in unnoticed and back out without even having to fight anyone. The second one forces you into combat during a lot of the assassinations which, to me, completely misses the point of Assassin's Creed. Ezio also felt like a spoiled brat to me, and the writing was worse than the first game as well. Assassin's Creed 2 single-handedly burned me out on the entire series.

Yea man i no what your saying. Altiar was ruthless and breed to be a stone cold killer. But Ezio just lost his parent and had a wagh fest lol.

And um i wouldnt say AC is like really any of those games TBH

I loved the game, but it was in no way better than AC2. It was basically the same mission recycled over and over again through out the game. How anyone could think it's better than the second one is beyond me.

But yes, TC. Get AC2. One of the best games this generation.

Action-wise and scope-wise, AC2 was much much better than the first. Plot-wise, it was stupid. As other people mentioned, Altair was a bred killer, Ezio is a revenge story. Also it's much cooler to have to kill nobody EXCEPT for the target. Having to fight thru guards to get your target, imo misses the whole point of Assassination. But overall yes, AC2 was excellent and easily recommend getting it.

This 100x! I could not agree more. If you're into stealth games TC, then just give the first Assassins Creed another go. The second one pretty much eliminated the need for stealth and was essentially an action game.

definitely. All three are amazing, totally different games. in my opinon assassins creed was never really made for total stealth, as the word assassination means the death of someone noticable/infamous. Thats what makes the games fun, if you want there are ways of getting through without killing anyone but half the fun is dropping down on a guard without anyone knowing, then finally getting to your target. The story is strong enough and different enough to compell most people, with the plot of conspiracy a main theme. AC 2 introduces more playtime in the present day and introduces puzzles which do make you think history is just a big conspiracy.

the stealth was gretly improved for AC 2, Altair can't swim, can't blend in crowds (other than scholars), can't hire people to creat diversions, and some other smaller things. and Altair better than Ezio, no way Altair has nothing on Ezio, Ezio starts as a spoiled brat and irresponsible teenager, and well circumstances change him for good

The sheer fact that you can pretty much climb anything and do anything is enough reason to get the game. It's amazing.

I wasn't very impressed. It felt like AC 1.5. Not a whole new game. Buy the first one, it's cheaper. ($7.99 vs $14.99 used GS prices.)

Lol and the flame wars of ezio vs altiar begin :P (Joking)

But yea id say there all completly different, but as for the games you mentioned there not much like them at all. So i dunno if you will enjoy them
