are the graphics really as stunning as they seem?
I've heard things about a super-high polygon count and impressive rendering.

YEs the graphics are beautiful. Also the game has a great concept and got pretty good reviews.
Pretty much what everyone else has already said. Its not a terrible game - just feels extremely repetitive once you get halfway through.
But the initial playing of the game I thought was brilliant
Oscgro
probably why it won so many game of the show awards at E3. was that seriously over a year ago? jeez.
Same gameplay to the very end of the game and a huge plot twist in the beginning. Besides that I enjoyed it and I think it is a great game. They made the city very real and life like and the combat is a bit of a twist instead of a hack and slash. kluspsnice quote in your sig, I remember watching that right after E3. Me and my brother started laughing because it was so ridiculous.
The ending will make you wanna bite the controller in half from excitement!
Seriously though, I enjoyed the game. Plus, they've done a good job from artistic side.
expect fun for the first hour and then a dawning realisation that the gameplay doesn't change or improve throughout the entire experience. it's a completely repetitive letdownmy_name_is_ron
exactly. the combat system was really well done, but the overall experience was just a chore.
This game is amazing. The flexibility of how you must accomplish your goals is outstanding.
The reason why it got such a bad response is, they drop A LOT of names, and its not names like Joe or Bill, they are names like Al-Quad Hareem Badash. You must pay REALLY close attention to the names, and the way he refers to certain people.
Also there are no subtitles which makes following the story yet, once again, that much harder.
Pay ATTENTION right from the start, otherwise, you will just be running around doing the bare minimum, and just chasing right to the finish. If you sit with the game, do some reading about where the people you have to assassin are. you can obtain lots of information and if you actually read what information you gather, you can assassinate 9/9 without having muchconfrontation. I have beaten the game from start to finish twice, and let me tell you, both times were completely different.
I picked up a copy on the day of release, played it for an hour and then didn't come back to it for like 6 months
Then 6 months later got really addicted.
