MW2, repetitive, easy, and ok.

Yes the game is ok, im not going to bash it. But my friend told me to download BF:BC2 demo...and boy o boy was it good

I thought it was so much better. Im for sure going to rock it until i get bored of that one map, which may take a while

Do u think BF:BC2 is going to kill MW2?

or Does MW2 will stand above all?

I am here to say that there is absolutely 0% chance that BF: BC2 kills or triumphs over MW2. Will it be somewhat popular? sure. MW2 will still have double the community though.

I myself am anxiously waiting for my BC2 download to finish. Personally, I think its just a nice refreshing war shooter and a good change of pace from MW2. Now that the MW2 hype is starting to dwindle, its nice to play something different. Now about "killing" MW2, I highly doubt that. The Call of Duty franchise has such a big following especially with this latest release. All I can see BC2 doing is giving us a solid alternative.

MW2 will have a much larger community regardless of if BFBC 2 is better or not. It has all the hype and a giant fanbase already. I think BFBC 2 will be awesome and different enough for people to play both and not get bored of either.

I think MW2 is going to boost the sales for BC2, but it still won't touch MW2 in sales or fun.

No because MW2 is the mainstream gamers game. BF wont even come close to its sales. Though it looks like a much better game.

Call Of Duty = GTA Battlefield = Saints Row As far blockbuster selling games that are incredibly solid and have a mega-huge fanbase, Grand Theft Auto and Call Of Duty will always reign supreme in gameplay/sales... Battlefield and Saints Row are games that offer an alternative experience from the hugely popular games but arent necessarily better all-around games and will only have a fraction of the sales/popularity that the big boys have

The Battlefield series is massively popular as well, Battlefield 3 is currently in development & is a guaranteed huge hit.

Battlefield: Bad Company for 360 was released in 2008 and currently has about 1 million copies sold, Modern Warfare 2 for 360 has been out for about 2 months and has over 9 million copies sold. I'm pretty sure Bad Company 2 will sell much better than BC1, but it's not even going to put a dent into MW2. I personally prefer the open-ended style of play Battlefield offers, but I got MW2 for free with a gift card(no way in hell I would waste my own money on it) and BC2 seems like a really enjoyable game, but in response to the thread topic.....NO!

lol you do realise there were battlefield games before bad company? BF 1942, BF2 (PC version) and BF 1943. Id say the fan base is pretty substantial, i dont think its as well known amoung the kiddies though, which is a very good thing

I know, I mention Battlefield 3 & people here think Bad Company 3. LOL, Bad Company is a great side project to the Battlefield series, but it really rages elsewhere on the PC.

Even if Bad Company 2 is ten times better and fully deserving of selling better than Modern Warfare 2 theres no way in hell it's going to outsell Modern Warfare 2. If it's lucky it's life time sales may match half of Modern Warfare 2's current total.

i have to say no and no on all levels. Will it beat in in sales? lol no Popularity? lol no Ratings? no but it will be a good game and it will have a strong following like the first. Ive personally never really saw why people liked BFBC i hated the online and the single player was weak as well imo.

well I liked Battlefield alot more then cod only for the fact of alot more to do in single player, yet I still am a fan of the cod series.

Now I still think taht cod will have more sales...IW is a huge company and after they released the first one to the world it was someting new!

So i think cod has already sold to much to overtake, I think BC2 may come close, because the 2nd one is outstanding!

BUT!!! If they do sell that much EA get ready to put up ALOT of servers!!! please LOL

so battlefield > cod ....in funnes

but in SALES Cod > battlefield

I think it may mw2 will still have more players, but If every player was forced to play both then decide on only one to play it would be pretty close.

The answer to this thread is NO. You should have asked will it be a "better game", because MW2 will always be more popular and more in demand than BFBC, ALWAYS.

if it had: matching COD controls. They're close, but still meh.

B for kneel was better IMO.

Vehicle controls suck in BC2. In BC1 they gave you a layout option to just use left analog for forward/backward/turning. The ones they give you make you stick with right/left trigger and right/left bumped for reverse. It's kind of lame.

I think the game would be 10x better with COD controls- right analog to knife, B to kneel etc.

I think I'll still get it, though I wish the BC2 demo wasn't a snow map, always my least favorite setting in any game.:?

Therefore, the Battlefield series started with only PC gaming. There are many fans of Battlefield, but you don't see them because 1. They are not kids 2. Most of them are on PC. Modern Combat is the port to console, and it wasnt that good, so BC1 is actually the first one that was made equally to the console as to PC. BC2 is the second. I'm not a CoD nor a BF fan, but I sold MW2, and I'm gonna pre-order BC2 right after my classes. Btw cougar, u forgot 2142...

I agree with this, and I would also like to add that I am young but I was familiar with Battlefield series way before Bad Company was released, in all honesty I wasn't nearly as interested in in then as I was when I got BC1. To me the COD was series was exceptional until MW2 came out which basically catered to novice players and was a huge turnoff to fans of COD 4, I loved MW2 but I considered it a "Novelty/Gimmick War Game" compared to titles like COD 2/4/5. IMO I look at BFBC2 as the superior game hands down, and I'm no fanboy, but the Frost engine just has more to offer. Also kill streaks are becoming annoying as they do most of the work for you. Overall I still like MW2, but I'll be playing BFBC2 alot more often.

I used to play Battlefield:1942 pc about 7 years ago(it was actually released a year after the first-gen Xbox) and I'm quite familiar with the series. Battlefield definitely has a strong following on the pc but it only has a fraction of the sales/community that the Call of Duty series has, so theres no possible way Bad Company 2 will "kill/triumph over MW2"(maybe in the minds of some fans it will....but thats being delusional). I prefer the open ended style of play that Battlefield offers, but every Battlefield game for consoles that have been released in stores wound up selling poorly, although Bad Company 2 will likely sell better than previous Battlefield games on consoles... it won't scratch the surface of what MW2 has accomplished. I don't prefer either series over the other and BF:BC2 might end up being a more enjoyable gaming experience than MW2, but theres no way in hell it's going to overtake the juggernaut of MW2.

Well they are two pretty different games, so people from CoD will think that MW2 is better and BF fans will think bC2 is better. I personally think BF games are the best army shooters in gaming history. the community on BF is always more mature than the one on CoD games and the CoD community is just annoying. the maps are HUGE and they usually include some free DLC. so yes, it should be able to beat MW2. ALSO: BF SCREAMS teamwork and tactics, which cod fails to offer unless its hardcore.

In terms of quality and fun factor it will **** stomp MW2. Unfortunately, it probably will not beat it in sales but in the end we still get an amazingly entertaining FPS. I hope the campaign kept the humor that the first had because the campaign trailer seemed rather serious.

Ok, the demo was horrible. It takes way to long to find an enemy, the knifing is WAY too slow, map is WAY too big etc. I got BFBC, and it was ok, but once I got MW2, everything seemed obsolete. MW2 is so much more sharp and quick.

Enemies are anything but hard to find, you just have to know where to look. and the map is big but its always localised at one base, cause thats where the crates are. Those arguments say more about you as a player than the game

[QUOTE="kaze347"][QUOTE="DeadSarow"]Ok, the demo was horrible. It takes way to long to find an enemy, the knifing is WAY too slow, map is WAY too big etc. I got BFBC, and it was ok, but once I got MW2, everything seemed obsolete. MW2 is so much more sharp and quick.chaoscougar1

It seems like EVERYONE is a sniper or in a vehicle/mounted gun/mounted rocket launcher. You know where they are but you have to change classes too much to deal with anything the game throws at you and nobody has mics (none of the games Ive been in anyways) so you never know how to strategize or play as a team like you should be doing. Its a good game for sure and maybe the full game will be a little better (stronger guns, more experienced players, a new perspective based on unlocking new gadgets, a different game mode might also change my mind, and new maps will surely help me) but until then it is just not my cup of tea. I had high hopes for the demo and they were somewhat dashed to be honest.

i will admit there are usually a few too many snipers but most of them arent that good and will plant themselves out in the open. I have always been a sniper since the game came out, went 16-1 the other day with an M24 and my overall K/D is 2. You just have to know how to avoid tanks/wait till they pass and then put C4 on em

I'm avoiding sniping in the demo because of the rifle. Bolt action for a 2 shot kill rifle? No thanks, Im already a terrible sniper lol but maybe when the full game comes out I'll rent it and some of my complaints will be addressed.

I am here to say that there is absolutely 0% chance that BF: BC2 kills or triumphs over MW2. Will it be somewhat popular? sure. MW2 will still have double the community though.Aft3rBurn3r
Nawh. BC2 is the beginning of a new era of FPS. Cod brought nothing new to the table... BC2 did. and it's going to pay off.
