I agree with Large_Soda. It was a little jab at Bungie for taking themselves a little too seriously when hyping up Halo. It was funny. I'm sure most of the Bungie guys will find this funny too. But nothing that will make the two companies hate each other.
I found this Bulletstorm trailerto be hilarious because it was making fun of the pretentiousness behind that Halo commercial when it insinuated it was the greatest thing that happened to gaming. Come on Bungie Halo Reach was the best you could do after 10yrs. I'm really looking forward to Bulletstorm because it's getting back to what gaming should bejustfun.
bulletstorm looks cool but their over the top cocky ads are turning me off from the game. A game shouldnt hafta yell at me and tell me how awesome it is and how i need to buy it. also Im sure at the end of the day its a short lived repetitive campaign with little replay value.
I saw a little clip of Cliff Blezinski talking about Bulletstorm on X-Play. It was interesting that he immediately started talking about how nearly all FPS games take themselves too seriously and that they wanted to take Bulletstorm more of a fun lighthearted game. A lighthearted as it can be kicking people in the balls. I'm looks like there's quite a bit of humor involved. I won't go with 2pac_makaveli's early assumption that the campaign will be short and the gameplay repetitive because what do we really know unless we play it. From what I've seen so far, it looks like a mix of Gears with Bioshock.
If anything, Bungie should be flattered. If someone is making a parody of your work they have to admit that they know your work exists. Imitation is the highest form of flattery...
Hahaha that was hilarious. I really did 'laugh out loud' when I watched that. And who cares if they're mocking Halo? It's just a video game. It didn't change my life.
And the title of the thread shouldn't be "Is bullet storm mocking Halo in trailer." That's just ignorant. The link you posted clearly states 'Bulletsorm Parodies Halo Trailer' so there's no question about whether or not it was intended to be a pun. I'm being nit-picky here, but I'm just saying. You were asking people to answer something that had clearly already been answered.
