Well obviously it seems to be the focus, and rightfully so since this seems to be the real strenth of the franchise. But I seriously don't think the single player will be lacking because of this, the gameplay is still the same and the A.I. is pretty advanced and will make for a good opponent.

Exactly. It's amazing that just because thats all they have showed us so far that its all they are focusing on. They aren't going to show SP stuff until closer to launch and even then it won't be much so they don't spoil the story. Just look at the achievement list and you'll see the vast majority of them are for SP not MP.
Well based on what I played in the Halo 3 beta the multiplayer hasn't really changed that much from Halo 2. If thats the case in the final version then they must have spent a hell of a long time on single player.
I personally think that the strength of Halo lies in the campaign... and I for one hope that they do enable some quality single-player in addition to the multiplayer.
I can tell you for sure though, I won't be buying Halo 3 out of my own money if it doesn't have a compelling single-player game. Without it, it doesn't matter to me if it had the best multiplayer on the planet earth. lack of quality SP = no $ from me.
Of course they aren't. It'll be an amazing single player game with a great story, probably better than the other two. They might even make environments that don't repeat themselves. Anyway most of the achievements seem to be for sp so I bet it is a good campaign.
It seems like they are really going over the top with the Single player this time (from what I've been reading in the Weekly Updates at least). I wouldn't be surprised if the campaign was as good or better than Halo 1's
just wait SP is going to rock now that there is 4 player Co-op. I thinks the levels are going to be big with diff ways of playing them. Bungie wont le tthe flag ship of xbox crash and burn. they know what the fans and others need in this game.....
