I'm thinkin' this game is gonna be pretty sick and I was just seeing if anybody else was poopin' in their pants like I was when I saw a couple videos of this game..

(: MW2's campaign is going to be the exact same as MW's. Except for a few new flashy things like the Snowmobile scene and a few weapons.
The Multiplayer is exactly the same as MW1's.. With the addition of a few things like Throwing Knives, New Weapons, Sticky Grenades.
If you think about it.. MW is doing exactly what ODST is doing. Using the EXACT same system as before.. Just updating a few things. It's nothing groundbreaking.
I'm looking forward to ODST. A lot.
But I'll admit.. MW2 has updating a LOT more than ODST.
It looks to be pretty awesome. One of the best of 09.. But by '10, it's hype would've worn off.

Quoted for truth. I seriously think it'll be up there but I doubt it will be the best, now if you love CoD then probably yes. For me though, I'm looking forwards to quite a few titles that stand to win the Best Place on my shelf. As for the gaming press, well, you never know ;)

No. I know it will be a very good game...but the FPS genre is so saturated that I'm sick of most of them. Only FPS i'm looking forward to is L4D-2, but I prefer action/advernture over FPS.

nah, FPS games are 10 a penny, and arguably, we've already played the best we'll ever play(what ever those games are to you is up to you guys), I have a very warm place in my heart for Beyonetta. I don't expect it to be GoTY, but I think it will be up there as the best of the hack and slash genre in '10.
and, I'm not saying this as a Halo fan, only really liked the first one, but ODST looks superb, and will OWN MW2 in reviews and in standing at the end of the year.
I'll probably need to go to rehab for excessive playing of MW2 multiplayer. I expect this game to have a profoundly negative impact on my life. But I kinda doubt it will be best of 2009.

ODST is before Halo 2 after 1 making it a prequel.

Bioshock maybe, Halo, def not and Mass Effect is a toss up.
Mass Effect 2 is a toss up? The first Mass Effect is the only great WRPG on the Xbox 360 and the only WRPG with a great story. The only game that even has a chance of matching it is Dragon Age. Obviously this is my opinion but so far stories for WRPGs are just terribly dull this gen at least.
Modern Warfare 2 is actually MW 1.5 with same short single player,some new maps,tweaks to multiplayer and thats it.Its pretty much like Halo:ODST were they charge you 60$ for an expansion.Im pretty sure if Halo/Call of Duty were not in the title of those games they wouldn't be rated above 9(I'm counting MW2 since its definetly gonna get very high rating.)
MW2 is going to be great for sure. but i think halo 3 odst will be the best of them all.

ODST is trash. I thought that it might have a chance considering that new pistol with the scope and the health system being a throwback to Halo: Combat Evolved, but sadly Bungie messed up, again, by not putting the pistol in multiplayer. Halo 1 was the ONLY good Halo game, the rest are garbage. MW2 is going to be the best shooter of 09-10, though. With the introduction of leveling up, acquiring new guns, perks, prestiges, etc. in COD4, Infinity Ward forever changed how I view online shooters. If a shooter doesn't have these online rpg elements or level of customizability (its a word, look it up, or dont) then I find myself asking, whats the point of playing?
I liked Halo 3 way more than COD 4 so naturally I'm gonna say Halo: Reach > MW 2. The truth of the matter is MW2 > Halo: Reach, ODST, Halo 3. I shouldn't have to shoot you five times in the head in order for you to die, 3 should be the max. Besides that, melee to the front doesn't kill in one hit, but a blow to the back will? What, is the shielding significantly weaker in the back than on the front? Then if it is, why doesnt a single shot to the back instantly kill? So many inconsistencies, and halo jumping, how foolish do you look hopping around like a rabbit instead of taking cover. Halo 3 teaches you to run into the open, jump around like an idiot, and shoot at you enemies, and then they go and try to apply that logic to other shooters and they bring that crap into COD4 and get killed, but they keep doing it because they think this is halo.

Game length means nothing. ODST has the best campaign in a Halo game and yet people are hating on it because it's short? I don't know about you kids but I would rather have an amazing campaign instead of a long campaign. If it can be long and amazing, even better, however, most of the time games are long is because there is A LOT of irrelevant missions and it becomes a chore after awhile.
