i honestly think SF4 looks horrible (style wise)
i don't personally like it

I LOOOOOOVEEE the art style..the graphics are excellent to me...it looks mordern and at the same time old school....unlike KOFXII which straight out looks old school....makes putting down 60 bucks for the game a lot easier....OMG I CANT WAIT
it could be now...
but when King of Fighters 98 and XII come out... they will rule the 360
AtlanticRock
nah dude....once street fighter 4 comes out, itll dominate all the fighters on the 360/ps3/PC....and it will keep dominating until the next generation of consoles is out, then other fighters will only be good till SF5 comes out, and so on....
This question is based off a lot of opinions from others. I don't think DOA4 is the best fighting game out now that SC4 is available. DOA4 is still a great fighting game, but Soulcalibur 4 is probably the better game on the consoles.

no way im renting sc4 right now and i have to say its suks there are alot of characters but most are useless and rip offs of the main characters. small uninteresting move sets that are way to easy to pull off and some serious balance issues that make a large number of the characters extremely cheap. Last but not least the online performs well in game but actually getting to a match i spent ten minutes trying to find one not because there aren't any but because it kept putting in full games what kinda of non sense is that overall ill take any other fight over sc4. SF,VF,Tekken,DOA are all better than it.

apples n' oranges sir
i'm a KOF fan, but i wont deny the greatness that is the street fighter series... but my heart will always be with KOF first and foremost
I'm looking forward to Street Fighter 4, I think it will become the definitive version of the game and replace Street Fighter Turbo as the 'classic'. While I'm not sure about some of these newer fighters, I think the mixture of returning characters coming together in this game is enough to make any fan happy. They still haven't said for sure that Cammy will be in the game though, so we will have to wait and see about that part.Ovirew
well Capcom had a poll recently for which character people wanted most in the home version (that wasnt already included ofcourse) and Cammy won, so yeh Cammy will be in....now all they have to do is add that guy that plays basketball from SF3:Third Stirke....i forgot his name god damnit...

Well no, since that poll Capcom has kinda neither denied nor confirmed her existence in the home version. I still think she will be in the game, because she is in the anime on the official website, but as far as I know for now Cammy is once again not confirmed. Good news though, Sakura has been officially confirmed for the home version and appears in videos for the game, but until we hear more on Cammy it's not definite. Here, I just got a link to the info on wikipedia:
"While Cammy was considered for the home version after the character won a reader's poll on Capcom's US site and was even featured in an animated teaser for the home versions[28][29][30], Ono has given conflicting statements on her inclusion, having confirmed her in an interview with 1UP.com stating that a "rough version" was already programmed into the game[29], only to later state "we still haven't decided on anything yet".[31]"
Not a fan of fighters, but id have to say Soul Calibur 4 is the best.Kaos39
now this is blasphemy my dear freinds...just kidding just kidding....i like soul calibur 4, but to me its a button masher...nothing wrong with it, but i dont like getting beaten by a noob just because he mashed buttons more than me...
^^^ like you said, i too feel she will be in there....i mean Ono said they still have several characters that they havent announced......so Cammy is definitly there...is Charlie going to be in the game, what about Sodom? what other alpha characters do you think will be in the game?Ironre5I think they did confirm Charlie actually...they at least mentioned him. I guess Guile learns that he might still be alive at the beginning of the game, and sets out to find him. Also, Ryu and Ken's trainer Gouken will appear in the game, so this will be the first time he is playable it seems. Oh, and Dan will be in the game, he is confirmed and everything I think.
I wonder how they will explain what happened to some of these characters by the events of SF3?

they dont have to explain....SF4 takes place between SF2 and SF3......do you mean you are wondering what will happen to them by the time Sf3 comes along...hopefully they dont kill all of them off and thus explain why they were missing in SF3...that would suck...i knew abt Gouken and Dan, but i didnt know abt Charlie....hopefully hes in there....

Plus they introduced all of these new characters - Abel, the spy woman, the big guy, the mexican wrestler guy - so it's like why aren't they in 3 then?

they might not even do that...theyll probably have a good story line and let the player decide why the other characters werent in SF3....im sure they wouldnt kill of all the characters, that would just be weird and they know fans would be pissed off...so its probably cause they didnt enter the tournament....or something less severe than death......

It's the fourth installment but takes place before the Street Fighter 3 series... there's no super powered ryu or ken yet.

amen sir, KOF FOREVAHHH!!!!!(sadly neither Rock nor Billy Kane will make it in)
as for the topic id say Virtua Fighter Live Arena
Soul Calibur 4 FTW. Its way more fun to fight with weapons in my opinion. And its a deep enough game for you to get really pro at the game and still find other pros that can kick your ass. Just a good mix of fun factor and depth. WileyCoyote315
Hell yes.
People like to say that its a button-masher, but every fighing game is essentially a button-masher. My brother and I play against eachother ever since Tekken 3 for the PS1 came out, and now that I have a 360 instead of a PlayStation I picked SCIV up..
Yes, at first we were both just going crazy on the controllers, but after getting familiar with the characters I went ahead and learned how to play properly. Once I mastered my character of choice, I was kicking his ass, at which point he realized he cant go crazy on the buttons anymore and has to learn the game as well.. and now we're more or less equal, each spending time in training when the other isnt looking. We go through this exact process every time I pick up a new fighting title :]
I gotta say, next to Tekken, SCIV is the most fun I've had with a fighting game yet.
