I was wondering if it's a good game to buy for 400 Microsoft points.

Other things on my mind are Fatal Fury Special (400 MSP) & Bomberman live (800 MSP) but the problem is really getting a really good deal which is why i'm looking more into the 400 MSP arcade games

the game is good but very hard, also its the arcade version not the NES version althrough the arcade version's graphics are way better then the NEs I think the NEs veersion is more of a classic.

Bomberman Live = best XBLA game.

Double Dragon's a classic, but it hasn't really withstood the test of time, to be frank.

Castlevania may be 800 points, but it is the best deal on xbla. Save your 400 points till you can get 400 more you wont regret it.

I'll admit that catlevania SOTNis oneof the best games out there but I've played the hell out of it already on the playstation & I already have some other Catslevania games on my GBA.

honestly, all you have to do is the elbow move all through Double Dragon and you can beat the game in about 9-12 minutes without losing a life.

now if you think that's worth $5 then get it.

lol well I've played the trial and I think it takes a bit more than that esp. when you're surrounded. But I'm just a sucker for beat em ups so that's really something i'm into.

Another note: How about Streets of Rage 2 then?

no seriously, that's all i did during the game, you can walk up and down, sometimes side to side, but all the enemies will march right into your elbow, you just have to keep moving.

i have 180 points in DD just off doing that.

Streets of Rage 2 versus Double Dragon is like Halle Berry versus Rachel Dratch. Buy SoR2. Play SoR2. LOVE SoR2!!!

I'm a big fan of 2d fighters, and I hated Double Dragon and could stand Fatal Fury, regretted getting them both. Streets of Rage 2, on the other hand, is an amazing game that I still play every couple of days.

I know you may already have it/dont want it/whatever, but geometry wars IS the xbla game to have, and easily one of the best 5 bucks I have ever spent.

well sreets of rage 2 is on my list now... with bomberman live. I'll also see about Sonic 2...heck with all these games and thinking of upgrading to a bigger hard drive...MS officially owns me haha. I'm gonna be angry if they shun the 360 as early as the original xbox. Don't wanna buy them again!! Either that or the next next gen will have a way of smoothly transfering all your games and content to the next console.

I remember playing this game in the arcade when it came out (...and yes, I am that old... lol) so naturally I was pretty excited when I saw it was coming to XBLA. A friend and I beat it (using the elbow) in about 15 min or so.So, in short, I don't think this game is really worth it. As for the elbow move, I can't quite remember. I know that you have to have your back to the enemy then press A and B at the same time...I think.

I'd get TMNT 1989 arcade game first. That's a solid beat 'em up with a 4player online co op option. It's also a longer game than Double Dragon. Streets of Rage 2 is pretty awesome too, and like TMNT itpretty much beats Double Dragon in just about every aspect. But I do love Double Dragon, 'cause I grew up playing it.Thing islike somebody else said,it doesn't stand the testof time: it takes serious framerate hits at an alarming rate (even though this is true to the arcade also)and regardless of difficulty setting, it's far too easy 'cause you can simply abuse the elbow punch and own everybody doing so.

And Fatal Fury Special is an awesome 2d fighter more along the lines of Street Fighter 2. It's vintage Neo-Geo/SNK back when they were the best at making 2d fighters throughout the '90's. Can't wait for them to bring Samurai Showdown 2 to XBLA...
