I've just finished doing about everything there is to do in fallout 3 and oblivion and am looking for a new rpg. Is Fable 2 any good? I've only heard indifferent opinions on the game.

well fable 2 is not (by far) as long or expansive as oblivion and fallout 3. Although this is true, it does stand alone as a decent rpg title that will last you quite a while with dlc and a decent replayability value.
I honestly cannot recommend Fable 2.. I've had to restart 3 times now because of quest bugs that prevented me from progressing further. When I play games, I put 100% into them and that usually means I hate replaying them. So you can only imagine.. But while it was working, it was fun...
It's fun fun fun. But light as a young girls laughter, it also makes me laugh like a girl.
If you're after some light relief it the proverbial dogs gonads. If you're after the depth of the games you mentioned, you will be dissapointed.
Saying that though, Albion is a very immersive world.

The thing is Oblivion and fallout 3 are so massive that they literally take forever to finish and thats too hardcore for me.[QUOTE="cockneyscouse"]The thing is Oblivion and fallout 3 are so massive that they literally take forever to finish and thats too hardcore for me.It's fun fun fun. Kind og agree, although I loved both Oblivion and Fallout. Gave up Oblivion after 150 hours and had hardly touched the story. Still in Fallout and adore it.
Fable 2 is a fantstic game and achievement by Lionhead.
I thought the combat in Fable 2 was MUCH more fun... however everything else seemed better in Oblivion.
IMO Fabl2 and Oblivion are the two most dissapointing 360 rpgs so far. There are alot of better rpgs on the 360 imo then those two (Lost Odyssey, fallout3, Mass Effect, Last Remnant).

How is Oblivion dissapointing at all?! It's easily one of the top 10 games this gen. What's next, is the Orange Box a rip off?

I can definetly see whysomeone wouldn't like games like Oblivion and Fallout 3, especially comparing them to the last game in their series. You can be disappointed in weapon selection, lack of good books to read, how easy it is, not as many interesting things to explore, the world is big but doesn't have much going on in most parts of it, ruins aren't fun to explore, enemies level with you, etc.

There really isn't much of a difference between Fallout 3 and Oblivion except for the combat and a little more detail in the world for Fallout 3. I can see why a few people would like one and not the other but for the most part if you liked one there is a very very good chance you will feel the same way about the other, unless you really hate guns, mostly blunt melee weapons, and grenades or bows, magic, and swords.
Fable 2 is good, but not as good as it was said it was going to be, the first one was great, but I hated the second one...I recommend you try a different RPG, but if you can't find one, Fable 2 will be there.

Or it could just be that Morrowind was so diverse, so awesome and full of interesting things to do, see, and experience. Honestly I didn't like Oblivion because it took everything that made Morrowind such an epic game (Interesting and diverse FANTASY setting, sweet alteration magic, enemies that leveled with you to a point, great music I still hum from time to time) and threw it out the window. Not to mention Oblivion was like a much simpler, less interesting RPG. They had different skill sets for daggers and bigger swords, there was light medium and heavy armor skill sets, plus unarmored. There was just so much more to it. You couldn't just join any guild you wanted, you typically had to choose one (and there were more than what Oblivion had to offer) and go with it. The story was much more detailed and interesting also. So maybe that's why Oblivion sucked to some people. Cuz compared to Morrowind, it sucks. In all honesty, I would pay $100 if they remade Morrowind the same way it is, just specifically for the 360. I don't even need better graphics or achievements. It's that good.[QUOTE="Legolas_Katarn"][QUOTE="hillelslovak"]
