Honestly? is it? Im thinking about picking up fable 2 and banjo kazooie nutts and bolts this friday (my birthday) and well while I loved oblivion with a passion but this game doesnt too hot. I mean the reviews for it are spectacular and it makes me want it but when I see the game the graphics look like crap tbh. I mean the graphics looks pretty bad and outdated but I loved oblivion and thought it was gorgeous. Im kinda interested in this game so I want to know what makes this game so amazing. Does the game look much better in person than oblivion? play better?

The character models may look stiff but the world itself looks awesome.

I have put over 30 hours into the game and have yet to finish it. I never played Oblivion so I dont know if they are similar.

I'd say go for it. If you can dish out an extra $20 + tax then wait on Banjo and get Fable 2 and Fallout 3 instead.

just the whole gamplay itself is good. its really hard to explain. character building, decision making, good or evil, its never a one way path. they give you a lot of options to take. ive put in 20-30 hours on just exploring around. your first impression on the game may seem abit to hard to play. but it does get alot easier towards 20% of the game. just dont give up because its to hard.

I have to say the graphics are absolutely amazing. The reason people say it looks bad is because it is a post apocalyptic landscape. Everything is dirt or grey so it doesn't exactly glimmer with sparkly colours. It's quite dull in terms of the colour palette but the actual landscape and buildings/ruins are great. The character models are not great though... but that isn't a problem since i just try to blow their faces off anyways! And thats my 2 cents on the graphics issue, thank you, I'll be here all week, tip your waiters and try the veil.

Best buy two copies just in case one gets lost or something happens to it. This is the best game of the year for me :)

Soo many funny things that can happen in this game

I met this old lady that lived in a shack, i talked to her first then decided i was gonna kill her,

So i shot her and she ran away, so I targeted her leg with my rifle and blew her leg straight off and killed her (funniest thing ive ever seen in a game, and very satisfying)

Man!! thank you! i have never seen someone on here post and say "i didnt like it", and it wasnt soon followed with: "ITS STOOPID GARBAG3 HALO IS B3TTER" that cool man. IMO it is an amazing game. the options. I put 130 + hours into oblivion W/O the shivering isles, and i like them both. Fallouts graphics look so much worse too because of the enviironment, oblivion is lush trees and forests, where this is nuclear desert wasteland = Bland, rusty colorless. ii do agree character models are stiff, just like oblivion. Seriously, to be able to be SOOOO evil in a game is a rare experience, and the options for completing quests is staggering. case in point: one such quest has you doing certain research, you can do it half assed, do its completely, exceed the requirements for better rewards, or just LIE and say you did the research and trick them into giving you stuff... its soo much fun just messing around in the game world. well that all folks

i think i found the same lady just not far from the vault. Except i didnt kill her i convinced her i was there to collect a debt she had racked up and she game me 400 bottle caps($$$) i love this game.

Fallout 3 is an awesome game and totally worth the purchase, for all the multitudes of reasons mentioned above. The graphics are good but not great, the environment as mentioned before, due to it being a wasteland does look rather drab and dull at first, but the quality is decent enough, and many of the towns/settlements/buildings/caves etc are quite good looking when you are exploring them or questing through them.

The character models look fine, sure they could be better especially when compared to more modern character models from games that have come out in the past year or two, but this is a minor point considering the scale and depth of the game. It will draw you in and addict you to its post-apocalyptic adventure from the very beginning and leave you wanting more when you finally finish.

Bad graphics? Well I played on my 50 inch hd tv and it looked beutiful the best looking game I've played besides Gears 2 and Nba Live looks better. But I rented it and I beat it on 5 days and for some reason blockbuster gave me 10 days to rent it so I got to play it again as evil but no its not worth 60 dollars unlike oblivion was cause there is no guild none of that. No house buying but you can get a house. Not much places to go huge map with barely anything. Once I beat it there wasn't much things to do and it was hard to lv up. Its worth a rent but IMO get Fable 2!

I like fallout3,it is a freedom game and it is black humor, the world of the fallout3 is gloomily but it dose not mean graphics suck.

the fallout3 and the The Elder Scrolls are different style!
