Fallout 3 is just like Oblivion but in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Chances are you will like it more. I personally prefer Oblivion.

I love both, though I loved Fallout a little more because it was a shooter as well. For the nice price it is now, it is definitely worth it!

Fallout 3 is worth it. I prefer an RPG with shooting elements - with that said, I couldn't get into Oblivion or it's setting.

You should definitely get it. It's amazing. Just make sure to buy the game of the year edition so that you can get all of the dlc's.

I found Fallout 3 to be monotonous and boring, but that's just me.

Fallout 3 is a much better game than Oblivion. Oblivion is also a great game, but it's starting to show it's age. Fallout 3 however, is only a 2008 game. So it's not too old or too new.

I have clocked over 100 hours into it, plus many hours in the DLC. And I still haven't started Point Lookout yet!

It is worth it. My GOTY for 2008.

fallout 3 was fun

the only thing i dislike is the environment looking at shades of brown kinda get old...i do understand that a gain't nuke or w/e went off in the lands and destoryed all living things pretty much but dang. brown on the floor, brown on the buildings, brown in the w/e bushes thats left... just little to much for me.

colors dose alot to the human mind

i clocked in about 40hrs in fallout while clocking 164 in oblivion. the reason i didn't clock more in fallout was truly because the brown everywhere. i finshed the story and some side missions. the world was getting old by that point

I loved both. I guess it depends. If you like beautiful, colourful settings and fantastical medieval combat-Oblivion. But if you like creepy, dark, monotonuos, and pessimistic surroundings, with shooting action and an awesome cinematic system, with slightly more sci-fi elements-Fallout. I guess it all depends what your into. I like Oblivion. Yes, it is getting old. But i will play it forever! Or at least until I have every weapon/armor in the game, and have leveled all the way...

I prefered Fallout 3 over Oblivion. Plus you can get the game for just 20$ or all the dlcs for 60$. Great game for incredible price!

Not playing Fallout 3 is like getting married without the privilage of dating before that - long, immersive, dangerous, rewarding and in the end WAY, way worth it.

No seriously, it is a must have, go play it right now. Best RPR until now.

I'm sure you've got enough positive feedback to make your choice.

But Fallout 3 was an odd game for me. When I first started playing it, I thought it was cool. Then I got out of the vault and I was immediately confused and not entirely sure what I was doing. Time passed and I didn't really like the game so I put it down and came back to it after a day or two. Then something happened, I was actually enjoying the game. I started understanding it and It was actually fun.

So if you hit that bump during the beginning of the game of not liking it, just put it down and go at it again after a little break. Never quite figured out what happened, but it went away so I didn't bother trying to find out.
