Is Far Cry 2 worth it?

It warrants a rent, but not a purchase IMO. It's fun, but it gets repetitive by the end of the game.

PROS:

BIG open world

Really nice environments and graphics

Pretty cool weapons and weapon upgrades

Your choice to approach missions different ways.

CONS:

Missions can seem repetitive

A LOT of driving in between missions and consistent encounters with enemies (Probably peoples biggest gripe with the game)

Multiplayer isnt great (just my opinion.....im not mad about multiplayer in most games though)

VERDICT:

All in all I would suggest you rent it first and see how you like it. I really enjoyed it once I got into it, got some decent weapons and got used to getting around the map
