Is gears 2 worth it?

I got gears a year ago and i still dont have LIVE because i never really bought the wireless adapter, and gears 1 didn't really have alot if you didn't have LIVE. Is gears 2 gonna be the same or should i get it? I might get gears at christmas.

Gears 2 is something you never ever should buy...

I've finished gears 2, one problem without live is that he game is so easy even on insane,

but horde mode is totally different, on insane you will never reach wave 25

Get Gears 2 and get Live!!! The wireless adaptor is cheaper than before.

But dont get live only for GOW 2 get it for all the other games and content on it

Yeah get wireless if you want less reliability. Cables are a gamer's best friend, take it from a Network Engineer... wireless has come a long way but still sucks ass compared to cables my friend.

Playing through the game cooperatively at multiple difficulty settings gave the game a lot of mileage for me. I never really bothered with the multiplayer, though that's going to change with Gears 2.

The game looks like it's going to be a grander, more refined experience than the first, and that depends on what you're looking for. Besides, even if you don't have Live, I believe there will be an option for bots, so you can get something out of the multiplayer.
