i'd say its the best all-rounder. just like mario, they've always been incredible games, but there were parts that could be beaten by other games. gears looks great, plays pretty well, is a little innovative, sounds good, etc... if i could only own one, i'd probably own gears.
Best multiplayer campaign for 360 Halo 3 will be better I think As of now I think Rainbow Six Vegas is the best 360 game with Gears and Lost Plannet really close behind
360 has a lot of tp notch games and gears is one of them
depends if you're into tactical shooters. its great at what it does, but its nothing like gears. if you like blowing everything you see to smithereens go with gears, if you'd rather take 1 well placed shot every once in awhile, go with r6. its hard to compare the two, both excellent.

r6 is definitely, or can be, the harder of the two. although, i guess insane without using co-op on gears is pretty d$#% hard. both of them are kind of losing online players quickly, they're getting a little old nowadays. still, many online games to be had on either imo.

Mines Oblivion. Just the scope of that game is jaw-dropping. you should mention that you have to be into rpg's for that. a gears or r6 fan isnt necessarily going to see oblivion the same way you do.
i used to think Gears was the best but now im really into Rainbow Six Vegas. it has incredible multiplayer. i havent really touched the single player yet though.... maybe this weekend...

Not true. Oblivion was only the 2nd RPG i've ever liked. And now it's one of my fav single player games ever. I usually play FPS's and Sports games.

When i first played GTA 3 that was brilliant... I did think it was the best game i had ever played but the novelty soon died off. Resident Evil 4 now that is definetly a contendor for top spot ever my opinion. Cannot wait for Resident Evil 5. Resi Series most engrossing games ever.
Its a good game.. one of the better singleplayer games i thought (: The online is fun for a little, but the lack of guns and modes make the online boring after awhile.

Oblivion,Gears and GRAW2 are my top 3 games right now but when Halo3,bioshock,Mass effect, Fable2,GTA IV and mabye even The Darkness (i loved riddick) come out i think my top three will look a little diffrent......although it will take some monster game to move oblivion out of my top 3
Gears is the killer app right now for the 360 it may not be the best but its definitly one of the greatest games of all time probably in the top 20 or somewhere around there. Its a good game that leaves a great first impression on you that will stay until the release of Gears of War 2
