Is GTA 5 too good to be true?!

So the gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto: V has been posted recently and I was blown away. Theres so much to this game to be excited about, where do I even start? The graphics? The map size? The improved customization, the wide range of vehicles, the online mode, the realism... I mean damn it just seems too good to be true! I worry that the frame rate might suffer or the game will lag if you're going fast in a car for example (like it did in GTA 4). However, I heard somewhere that there will be 2 discs, so maybe this will fix those potential issues.

I don't think it's too good to be true - Rockstar unlike some other devs is pretty good about putting the stuff they announce in their games the way you'd hope it to be and it's obvious a ton of resources have been put into its development.  I'm sure plenty of people have it overhyped - but will it be as advertised?  Likely yes.

Where did you find out about online mode? I didn't think they announced anything yet, other then there will be one. I hope it's more like RDR then GTAIV.

I think GTA5 will be very good, but it will be very similar to GTA4 so probably the critics wont rate the game as highly!

yeah there are tons of stuff to do in the game.

I think the worst part of the game is going to be the technical end, more than a few glitches, bugs, and jank.

but that kind of stuff is par for the course when it comes to sandbox games.

My only main concern with this game is technical issues, such as glitches, framerate, bugs, lag, etc. So far from what I've seen from the recent trailers, I've definitely noticed improvements. I'm glad they're not spoling it too much but I would like to see more gameplay footage just to get an idea of how smooth the gameplay will be. Other then that though, this is literally a dream game that is coming true for me.

Not long to wait now.

Yeah the game will be so different from gta 4.

Just Rockstar being amazing at what it does.

Im so excited for this game, I think it will be as good as most of us think it will be. However, my ONLY concern is that even though the map is going to be huge, the actual city area will be quite small. It may be bigger than it looks though Chris_53

grand theft auto 5 is gonna be the best free roam game you've ever played. we are adding additional cars to make the game more fun and realism. multiplayer will be awesome to. hope you all enjoy this game gta5rockstar6522

Judging from the screenshots graphically I wasnt impressed but that wasnt the finished product so who knows hopefully it will be improved.RimacBugatti

Really? The screenshots look perfectly rendered on a PC and better than you should expect from such a massive game.

In terms of features and content, the game won't be too good to be true. It will be epic. Just the sheer scale of it is something to behold and Rockstar are always brilliant with the small details.

The only problem is I think the framerate will suck and the graphics will appear nowhere near as good as the screenshots (probably horrible draw distances, texture glitches and the odd missing wall). GTA IV barely managed and it took me a while to adjust to how dodgy it looked sometimes. I think GTA V is going to have an install disk? If so then it should ease the pressure on the console memory to enable the handling of such scale but if you are basing the visuals on the screenshots and trailers you've seen then you will probably be disappointed as these have clearly been rendered on a very powerful gaming PC.

Although I could be wrong. If they've pulled off the seemingly impossible and produced a game of that scale with visuals that are as good as the trailers, on an 8 year old console then this will truely be the best game ever released.
