nope....., but if ur gonna get half life plz get it for the PC if u can support it. it was originally a PC game, and the PC version also looks better and plays better if you have a computer that can support it. It isnt very demanding. It practically requires a PC from 2002
HL2 has some jump-out moments with headcrabs every now and then. Mostly in the Ravenholm level with the extremely fast zombies.
It can be startling sometimes, but not really scary.
Not very scary. ONe level called Ravenholm is a little creepy and unsettling, but not to bad. There are also a couple of moments where Headcrabs might startle you.
When I played throughHL2, I found it tobe one of the scariest games I had played at the time because of how sucked in you get to its extremely well done atmosphere. Of course that's just my opinion, most will tell you it's nothing compared to Dead Space or Condemned, but there are definitely some eerie parts that the devs were undoubtedly trying to make scary.
Going by the fact that you say you don't like things that jump out at you, I'm gonna assume you haven't played games like Dead Space and Condemned. In this case, I would say for you Half-life 2 could get a bit creepy at times with maybe a handful of jump moments (Ravenholm being the worst as most have already said). But the majority of the game is not scary at all. If my assumption is wrong, however, and you've played games like the aforementioned horror genre titles without much trouble, then Half-life 2 should be about as scary to you as a baby puppy.
