Is halo reach going to play exactly like halo 3

one thing i am wondering is what is halo reach surposed to be like. all i know is its a FPS. IS it going to play exactly like halo 3 or is it going to be different. I was told its going to be squad based like battlefront, which souds awsome however i dout it is true

Bungie-FPS-Halo-Beta-Answers-Wait-ODST good!

My guess - its going to be really really close to both Halo 3 and ODST. I don't know, but why would Bungie waste money on a new battle system when they already have 360 players begging for more? Easiest way to make money: Build on the Halo story (note how they mention Reach in ODST briefly) so all those Halo fanatics can get more, tweek the damage system here and there, add new weapons, pretty scenery, new enemies, and taadaaaa. Halo Reach is born. The Halocaust is coming...

actually... I've never even heard Bungie saying that it is going to be an FPS. I'm sure that it's a different game with a new engine... otherwise we wouldn't even need a beta.

its a Rhythm game.. master chief on keyboard and the Arbiter on base..

its a prequel to Halo 1. The novel starts off with the US government kidnapping "superior" kids from their parents and training them as soldiers everyday of their life, etc, with only a handful surviving the enhancements and them becoming spartans right before the Covenant attack Reach. Those you see in the Reach Poster are the "blue" team, with John being in the middle (future Master Chief)

They've already said that there will be a new game engine. That doesn't mean, however, that it wont be an FPS.

Here's my guess, and this is entirely conjecture: Reach will be like previous Halo shooters. ODST played very much like the other Halos, despite ODSTs having different capabilities than a Spartan.

There will be a lot of Spartans around this time around, and you'll mostly likely be fighting Elites again like in Halo: CE and Halo 2.

Beta's are for the devs to test and improve networking connections and stability... It has nothing to do with gameplay

All I know is that it's a prequel to Halo CE and there are Spartans everywhere :) . So your squad based theory maybe close :)solo4321

Yup. Reach is where most of the Spartans died.

No gameplay has been revealed yet, aside from that it's going to still be an FPS. It's rumored to include Squad-Based Tactics but we'll have to wait and see for details to be revealed.
